March ATC and Card: Yellow/Something For Her

For the March ATC over on Clarity Crafts Mini Makes & ATCs, the theme was Something For Her and the colour was yellow.  This is what I made for my swap partner.

Stamp the Clarity ATC onto the back of a piece of ATC stencil card in Goldenrod Archival ink.  Add the name of the artist using one of the bespoke stamp sets and a date stamp in the same ink.  Add the title and edition using a yellow Sharpie pen.

Stamp Clarity New Design Club stamp #123 onto the other side in Jet Black Archival ink.

Create a mask from mask blank and mask up the image.

Blend Mustard Seed and scattered Straw Distress inks across the background with a Clarity stencil brush.  Add one of the Texture stamps into the background in Buttercup Archival ink.

Add a second one in Saffron Archival ink.  Finish with the script stamp from the Mixed Media Journaling set in Goldenrod Archival ink.  Remove the mask.

Colour the roses with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils blended out with a watercolour brush pen (#107, #108, #109, #112, #266).

Colour the vase in shades of pink (#124, #127).

Add further depth of colour using Pergaliner A19, A16, A8 and B6, B9 and B14.

Finish by adding one of the SHAC Feel Good Factor and one of Leonie’s Words stickers.

For the card, start with a small piece of Clarity stencil card and add an old, discontinued verse into the centre in Jet Black Archival ink.

Add the sunflower stamps from the Spring and Summer Build a Wreath stamp sets to Clarity stamp pens.

Add the images round the edge of the topper in shades of yellow and orange Archival ink (Pure Sunshine, Buttercup, Sunflower, Tea Rose, Goldenrod, Chrome Yellow).

Add leaves from the Spring Build a Wreath set in Dirty Martini Archival ink.

Die cut a mat from Amazonia companion paper using the 3.75” nested square picot die and mat up the topper.

To finish, add to the front of a 4” x 4” white card blank.
