Thank You Jane!

I loved Jane Telford’s project using the January 2025 Clarity New Design Club stencil so decided to have a go myself using a different choice of colours and a different finishing technique.

I started by blending Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide through the stencil (#128) onto Clarity stencil card.

I moved the stencil and repeated twice more randomly.  

I then moved onto Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide and finished with Gathered Twigs Oxide.

Next, I went over the whole card with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide.

I gave the card a light spritz with water from a distance and lifted off some of the colour with a clean paper towel. Once the ink was thoroughly dry, I added the clean stencil, masking off some areas with low tack tape. 

I blended Black Soot Distress Oxide through the stencil. 

With the stencil still in place, I wiped it over with a clean paper towel and pounced Versamark ink over the Black Soot ink.  The stencil was removed, and the topper was embossed with holographic embossing powder. (Jane used gel medium and added glitter but I was too impatient to wait for this to dry).

Next, I blended Black Soot Distress ink round the edges of the topper.

The topper was matted onto Indian Summer companion paper (7.5” x 7.5”) and added to the front of an 8” x 8” black card blank.

To finish, I also added one of the Pinky Gray Greetings stickers.
