Let the Sun Shine In: Matching Stamps to Backgrounds

This is one of those occasions when the stamps and the background card were the perfect combination.
Trim one of the Indian Summer designer petites to 4.75” x 6.75”.
Stamp the banner from the Let the Sun Shine In Doodle stamp set along the bottom in Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Add the phrase inside the banner in the same ink. Mask off the banner.
Add the flowers above the banner in the same ink used so far. Remove the mask and allow the ink to dry thoroughly.
Colour the flowers and leaves using pencils in shades of pink, purple, blue and green. Blend the colours with Dorso oil and a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
Mask off the banner again and add a drop shadow in Black Shadow Artistry ink.
Add some highlights with a white gel pen. Use a black pen to edge the four sides of the topper.
To finish, trim a 7” x 7” white card blank to 7” x 5” and add the topper to the front.

Absolutely beautiful! You make it sound as though it was so easy to make.
