WOYWW 691: Getting Back to Work

This time next week I will be back teaching again so I am spending a couple of days finishing the preparations and paperwork for the upcoming school year.  I did manage a couple of projects since we returned from our short break away at least and hope to get back to crafting tomorrow.

In the meantime my desk is rather boring.  I am sure if you visit Julia at Stamping Ground you will find far more interesting desks to visit this week.

We enjoyed three nights in Scarborough with day trips to Whitby, Goathland and York, visiting Bridlington on the way home.

We had a refreshing time before getting back to the grindstone.

I managed to keep up with the daily journal by prepping a few papges in advance.  Hope to be able to visit desks once I have finished work for the day.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

WOYWW 635: Loosening Up

It's Wednesday and time for the weekly desk sharing and linking up with Julia and the WOYWW gang over on Stamping Ground.

My desk today shows the stamp sets from the CLarity One Day Special this evening that I was lucky enough to play wi in advance.  If you pop back over the next few days I will be sharing the samples that I made in detail.
On Monday I received a bumper order from Clarity that I made in the members' sale back in July.  It was worth the wait but now I don't know what to play with first lol.

Eva didn't make it last Thursday after all as she had last bits and pieces of work to complete before she handed back her laptop and keys at school on Friday - she is now officially retired!  She did however come round yesterday for a crafty session.  I have a couple of hours more school work to do and I will be sorted for September so I decided a reward was in order lol.  I was playing with the July club stencil and die that were delivered last month and I hadn't found time to play with yet.

As you can see from the change of #, I have started working with e new set of prompts.  Some of them are repeats of previous ones so I will have to think of a new way of responding to them.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.  I'll be round to visit shortly - if the new broadband works smoothly - we are having super fast fibre installed this morning!

WOYWW 500: Starting as I mean to go on

Good morning, Happy New Year and welcome to my contribution to WOYWW 500, an amazing collaboration of desk sharing that goes back nearly 10 years now.  Led by Julia over on The Stamping Ground, we get together each Wednesday to share the high and low points of our creative spaces.  Thank you Julia!  This week has also seen an anniversary for me as my 900th blog post coincided with New year's Eve.
Having spent most of last weekend in bed with the flu, I decided that New Year's Day needed to be different, so got up early to finish an art journal page in my 2018 journal (see HERE).  I have two more pages to complete before the new prompt for 2019 comes out on Sunday and I am determined to get there.  You can see the blank page ready to complete my last festive page fro December before I go back and catch up with the last November prompt which needs finishing.  Unfortunately I also have school work to do before I go back to work next Monday so my hard drive is ready for updating with all the French lessons needed for the Spring Term.
Eva is away for Christmas so it will be next week before we get together again.  I have a workshop to get to on Saturday, so I need to make sure that everything is sorted for the weekend.  Please look out for Barbara Gray's shows on Hochanda on 6th January (2pm/3pm) as you may see my first ever samples as a member of the Clarity Design Team.  I am starting to feel a little nervous....
