These new open alphabet and number masks from Clarity Crafts are such fun to play with. There are also a selection of Build a Background stamp sets available. Here I used the Sam's Shapes and the words sets to create this birthday card.Add the 2 and the 7 outer masks from the Open Alphabet and Numbers Mask set to two small pieces of Clarity Stencil card.Add various stamps from the Sam’s Shapes Build a Background stamp set to Clarity stamp pens.Add one of the stamps to the numbers in Vivid Chartreuse Archival ink.Add further stamping using different stamps in Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Archival inks.Continue in the same manner using Mermaid Lagoon and Fossilized Amber Distress Archival inks.Finish covering the numbers in Villainous Potion and Salvaged Patina Distress Archival inks.Once dry, brush a light covering of Spun Sugar Distress ink through the apertures and remove the masks.Mask up the numbers. Cover the backgrounds with words from the Build a Background words stamps in Jet Black Archival ink. Remove the masks.Die cut frames from further small pieces of stencil card using the 2.5” nested square dies. Stamp the frames to match the numbers.Add them to the toppers.Edge the inside of the frame and the numbers with a black Posca pen and the outside of the toppers with a black Sharpie pen.Add the toppers to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank. To finish, add a couple of the I am Essential Birthday Sentiments in Jet Black Archival ink.
