WOYWW 610: V Day

As usual on a Wednesday, joining in with WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?) with Julia and the gang at Stamping Ground.  Please do pop over to find out more.  I am sure we are all thinking of Shaz (Silverwolf) and her amazing husband Doug.  Keeping them both in my prayers.

My desk doesn't change much from week to week as I have to keep it clear when working from home. My daily drawing sketchbook is usually to hand and I have started work on a new tag, but that won't be worked on today as it is a teaching day.  I do have a new Deflecto washi tape drawer unit on order so I am hoping that Tom and Peter don't mind heights lol.  I am off later this morning to get my first vaccination which I didn't find out about until the weekend.  The school were offered 13 slots for people administering the lateral flow tests and those who are vulnerable or who have vulnerable family.  As I have asthma I was offered a slot and therefore jumped at the chance.  Luckily this morning there are no live lessons so I won't miss anything - I have already uploaded independent tasks for the pupils which are marked as they work their way through.  I should be back in plenty of time to teach the live lessons this afternoon.

Here are the latest daily drawings (up to yesterday),  Does anyone spot the TV show reference on day 9?

I'll be round to visit later or tomorrow (vaccine side effects permitting).  Stay safe and happy WOYWW everyone.

Fabulous interpretations of those Inkies. ~But the best thing about your blog post is hearing you are getting your jab. So glad - all teachers should be getting them now.
Don't know what went wrong with my original post (3) it missed most of it off)

Morning Sarah. I just love your quirky humour when doing your little drawings. Laughter must be constantly bubbling! Sorry - no, don't know the tv reference... must watch the wrong programmes...
I trust your vaccination goes well with no nasty side effects which cause you to miss your teaching session. I was listening to the news yesterday - and all the crazy ideas about "allowing children to catch up " by extending the school year over the normal holidays... Are they crazy? What is that going to do to you as the teachers?!!! Don't they think YOU need a break - and are the children actually going to attend when, quite possibly, parents have already booked time away - in the hope! teachers need a break too. Sorry - rant over!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Sarah just catching up on a few before we go. Pleased to hear you're off for your jab to today bet you're pleased. The new drawings are brilliant. I don't know what this government will come up with next, they have no idea how hard this year has been for children and teachers. Have a lovely day and a happy woyww, Angela x18x

Nope, no idea about the TV show reference, although the moon is looking a bit odd.... hmmmm....

I did start doodling this week, I think I did 4 days before I got sidetracked, but start is better than nothing! Not sure why I didn't include it in my WOYWW post, but hey ho.

Thanks for stopping by,

Morti x

Tom and Peter will need oxygen if they go any higher! I have enjoyed seeing your daily sketches and how you interpret the prompts, it makes me wonder what I would do! Hope the jab goes well today and the side effects are minimal.

Excellent news on the vaccine! I hope you feel okay tomorrow too. I do enjoy your interpretations with your drawings - the little whale is so cute! I'm afraid I don't get the owl TV programme either though. You'll have to do a reveal next week! Definitely hugs all around today, Lisa-Jane #10

You're getting another set drawers! I must admit they are quite useful - you should get four, so you can have two and two side by side! I'm thinking of getting another one too, but then I need more washi tape and it never stops LOL. Good that you're getting your vaccination - we'll all be vaccinated in a few months' time it seems. Keep up the good work with your drawings - you could start your own 365-day challenge at this rate! Thanks for your visit earlier - have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa

Loving your drawings as always, Sarah. This week's favourite is the benevolent-looking whale with his tiny companion! I love "run," too - how many people would have thought of that? I'm another one who has no idea about the TV reference - I don't watch much live TV these days at all so I'm a bit out of touch.

Thank you for your visit. People do seem to like the Siamese cat which is good - perhaps it will grow on me! Glad you enjoyed the funny as well.

Happy WOYWW and Meow from Lily and Ruby,

Glad you are having the vaccine/. Great drawings as usual, I do like that whale! I must have missed what was on TV as I don’t get the significance of the owl. Have a great week Angela #12

Day 9, Who?? Hey, really glad that you’ve had your jab, it must feel like progress. As usual, you appear super organised, I do like the washi tape in their clear drawers....like eye candy for sure, such lovely colours. I watched a Tracy demo on Fb the other day and she used slivers, literally slivers of washi to enhance a card. On that basis, one reel would last slightly longer than I have left to live! So...use and enjoy! Pretty sure the Drs will be alright at height, after all, the space and dimensions will be familiar!!

Good news you had your vaccine today Sarah, you play an important role. I agree with Zsuzsa you'll need a fourth washi holder to balance the yin and yang of your desk & keep Tom & Peter still safely in sight. Smashing inky doodles.
Stay safe Hugs Tracey #36 x

Super drawer units, just had to google. Great to see you on facebook today too. Your teeming drawing just fits nicely with the V day - took me a while to work out the V - LOL. Day 9 TV reference has me stumped I'm afraid and I love your crooked house. Thanks for the visit BJ#18

HI Sarah, congrats on your jab! I have severe asthma and we aren't anywhere near getting our jabs right now, so I have to stay holed up for a little while longer. I'm glad you got yours.
It's very sad about Shaz, she's such a neat and interesting person. Doug is so devoted to her, hopefully that will be a comfort to her if she does go.
I love your interpretations of your drawings (as usual!) but I might have tried a portrait of someone who I will not name, but who's initials are DJT for the "crooked" drawing!
Thanks for your visit, have a good week, and stay safe, Lindart #32

Update on here in Victoria – we are in a snap lockdown again – hopefully only for a few days – but 5k limit, no visitors or gatherings, only leave the house for the 4 special reasons, only essential shops open…
