WOYWW 590: Still Here

Wow, only 10 more weeks until WOYWW achieves the big 600 mark.  Please do visit Julia's Stamping Ground to find out more about our weekly get togethers and sharing of desks and craft spaces.

My desk shows some gorgeous new designer card from Clarity.  I particularly love the colours of the Antarctica designs.  Tom and Peter were helping Eva and I social distance as she is still making it over on a Tuesday for our crafty play dates.  Other than that, the only place I go to is work on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  So far all is well at our school with no Covid cases among either staff or pupils.
On the other side of the desk, Eva was working on her Groovi projects.  As you can see, Tom and Peter were temporarily displaced for my light box as I had photos of projects to take.  Plenty of hand sanitiser being used too, as you can tell.  We are hoping that we will be able to continue meeting weekly but are watching out for new guidelines, in which case it will be back to Face timing instead.  I'll be round to visit in the morning or after school this evening if I am not feeling too tired.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

Glad that you got another play date with Eva - not sure anyone (especially those in charge) know what is happening any more ! But we will carry on - hopefully if more people obey the rules things will get better sometime! Helen #3

Catch every moment with your crafty buddy Sarah, who know's what restrictions are coming next, you'll be fine with the Doctors though. Paper looks fab, must use up some of my papers. Take care & stay super safe. Tracey #5

i Sarah. Good to see you both playing! Hope it will be able to continue - have you "bubbled" with Eva? If so, you currently possibly can still meet indoors. Yes, the rules do keep changing so often, don't they? The trouble with something like this is that the situation keeps changing, so the rules and regs have to as well... does make planning difficult, though, doesn't it. Glad all is well t your school.
Take care. God bless.

HI Sarah, you're looking very organised and industrious there! Hope you can continue with your IRL crafting sessions, it's all a bit confusing at the moment I think. We have tickets for the RA "summer" Exhibition in October and can't decide whether to buy the train tickets or not. Glad all is well at school. Have a great week :) Annie C #17

Very responsible play date, Sarah! I love the Antarctica card. It wasn’t till I zoomed in that I realised that Tom and Peter are Doctors! What do you think of the latest personifications?
Stay safe and happy WOYWW

Hi Sarah! Good that you're social distancing but I'm thinking that my son managed to catch a common cold just a few days after starting school despite all the Covid measures, so I'm not convinced they work. But I guess we don't have a choice. I've only just gone back to the office on Tuesdays/Fridays following the "go back to the office" mantra - so now I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. To be honest, I work much better from home, but I have to let my boss tell me what to do. Your light box looks nice - I got one too a while ago but didn't get on with it - yours looks a lot more compact and practical - perhaps I need one like that? Have fun with Eva while you're allowed. I wouldn't be surprised if we went into another national lockdown again, though it would be disastrous for the economy. Let's hope it's not going to be necessary. Have a good week and stay safe amongst all those snotty kids! zsuzsa #20

How lovely that you are meeting up with Eva for socially distanced crafting! I guess it's all about making the most of things while we can in these uncertain times. I hope you enjoy your new designer card - it's always fun to get new stash!
Hope you have a good week,

Hi Sarah, the pads look gorgeous, but I'm trying to be firm with myself and not buy any, I have pads that are still not all used, and I've had them years. Good to hear that you are free of Covid in school at the moment, and lets hope you & Eva can still get together for crafty days. Would be crazy you can meet up in school, but not at home! Stay safe, have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #4 X

Nice to see you having fun with Eva, Sarah. I love the look of your new papers - I googled them as I hadn't heard of them before. I hope you show us what you do with them.

Thank you for your visit - glad you like the latest outfit. The carrot and coriander soup is really delicious!

Happy WOYWW,

I've never heard of Clarity, so I'll have to look them up. I'm glad to hear your school is back in and with no new cases. We hope to open back up here in VA in Oct. Nice that you have a friend to create with, my daughter and I have been working together and it's nice to have someone bounce questions off of and to chat with. ~ Enjoy your week

Well, that's a relief that there's no COVID in your school - my very good friend and her husband in the next village have both just tested positive. They're poorly but not debilitated, fortunately I hadn't seen her for a few days before she became sick but it brings it close to home. I'm the good Docs don't mind being moved out of the way, after all is crafting more important than time travel?!

Yep, make the most of the rules not changing too much just yet...lovely to have Eva’s company, long may it be OK to continue. Love the new Clarity cards, I must say I always liked the 12x12 pads but continue to think that they are expensive....the 12 x 12 I understand, because our print industry doesn’t easily produce that size, but classic sizes..hmm. Nevertheless, I’m sure you‘ll have a lot of fun and make some very inspiring pieces with those two blocks!

Hello, again! Still nothing to show from me this week. My downstairs is still torn up, literally! We now need to buy two full sheets of drywall and insulation and then something to replace the flooring we had to take out (due to the leak in the downstairs)
I really have to step around all of the "stuff" that has been moved about.
Can't wait until this is behind us.

Glad to see that you have a bit of normal crafting going on. Loved seeing your picture a while back of your visit with Julia! (she doesn't post many of herself)
Stay safe and well!
Happy Wednesday

Pleased that your school is still free of the virus it's not looking good around Lincoln since the children went back to school. I believe there are about fifteen schools with staff or children that had to be sent home though the schools haven't actually shut. Wishing you a happy and creative woyww, Angela x15x

Sarah, I can't take my eyes off those paper pads by Clarity. They are stunning. I never heard of them before. I will have to poke around to see if Amazon sells them. It's sunny and warm today which is strange because it was cold the last few days and I began wearing fall clothes. So now I am back in shorts for the next few days. I hope you are well and lucky you to have a social distance session.

Eva looks like she's in deep concentration! Hope any new guidelines won't be too restrictive. I, too, like the new designer cards!
Have a great week. Kinda shocked me when you mentioned week 600 coming.

It's good that you two can still meet up - long may it continue. Unfortunately I can't meet up with anyone due to some guy coming back from holiday, going on on the "pop" and infecting lots of others - so it has just snowballed and we are now the highest in the country for cases. Ah well, more reason to stay cocooned in our own little world.
Glad your school is continuing to be Covid free - you must have it right.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Another happy play date with Eva! We are still in serious lockdown - so the only place I go is the local supermarket every other day or so. I am enjoying lots of online tutorials and workshops though...
need a light box - shadows make it so difficult to photograph things...

Happy Belated WOYWW. Great to see that Eva was in your craft room. My crafting friend is in quarantine after returning from a holiday in Greece. We haven't had anyone in our house (except for our heating engineer) since early March. Hubby has been having meetings via Zoom or going outside to a shed on the yard, but it will be getting too cold for that. At least his meetings are shorter now! Love those Clarity paper pads. How nice that you can meet up with Eva! Good for you for continuing to keep safe as well. Hopefully it will continue! I'm glad your school is covid-free. We just opened ours up this month, and so far so good, although the Uni students are back, and some of them have it.
Thanks for your kind words about the wedding, it was definitely a project of love! Have a great week and stay safe! Lindart #32
