I haven't used my Cricut Expression machine for a while, but it came in handy for the second of my latest set of tags in the Quarantine Quickie series, following the prompts over on Mission Inspiration. Only 10 more to share after these!
Cover a #8 manilla tag with a piece of inky copy paper, seal with matte medium, dry and trim the excess. Add stamping using the cogs from the Clocks and Cogs stamp set from Clarity in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Die cut the Clockwork aperture die and remove some of the cogs. Add these to the tag and trim the edges. Add a little shading around the die cut cogs with a soft B pencil, blend with a Pergamano blending pen and nib. Add highlights to the stamped cogs using a white gel pen. To finish, add the prompt using a black Posca pen. Cover a #8 manilla tag with the top layer of a piece of inky paper towel, seal with matte medium, dry and trim the excess. Using the Ornamental Iron Cricut cartridge and Cricut Expression machine, cut the first gate (3.75”) from black pearlescent card. Add some stamping to the background in Cornflower Blue and Manganese Blue archival inks using some of the Mixed Media Journal stamps. Add the gate to the tag. Add shading using a Faber-Castell big brush marker, blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib. To finish, add the prompt using a black Posca pen.
