Colour and Heat Embossing over Fibre Paste: A Masculine Birthday Card

This was the first sample that I made for Maria's shows on Hochanda yesterday (12pm and 4pm) where, among other items, she introduced the Clarity wizard and knight stencils.  The shows can still be seen on catch up for a while if you missed them.  I came up with three completely different looks using various techniques with the same stencil.

I attached the stencil to a piece of 7” x 7” kraft card and dragged Pentart Fiber Paste through it. I removed the stencil and put it into water, then allowed the kraft card to dry. Once dry, I brushed some Tenacious Teal through the sky and Amazon Trail Artistry ink over the grassy area.
I coloured the Fiber Paste with Artistry inks using a Pergamano pen and nibs for the smaller areas. I used Blaze, Mudstone, Aged Stucco, Burnt Umber and Black Shadow in addition to the Tenacious Teal and Amazon Trail. I used a water brush to blend the sky and grass and left the horses white.

I trimmed the image close to the edges of the stencil.
The piece was matted onto a piece of Northern Lights Designer paper, trimmed to 15.5cm x 15.5cm and added to front of 7”x 7” kraft card blank.
I decided to see if heat embossing would work over the fiber paste background, so masked off the ends of the Clarity Happy birthday line sentiment, inked it up in Versamark ink, removed the masking before stamping and heat embossed the words in detail Copper embossing powder.
As this worked so well, I decided to highlight the knights' armour using the same method.
So Fiber Paste colours easily, takes blending with a water brush and will heat emboss.  A most versatile material.
