Early Christmas

This card is a bit early, but I decided not to leave things until the last minute this year.
It's a straightforward card, but didn't go the way that I initially planned.  I started by stamping the Festive Background stamp by Woodware onto gloss white card using an Onyx Black Versafine ink.  I had intended heat embossing in clear powder, but grabbed white by mistake.  I decided to carry on however and see where I ended up.
Using Candied Apple Distress Oxide, I blended over the whole image several times, buffing up in between with a dry paper towel to highlight the embossing.
I then used my Yasutomo Mica Palette, together with some Pixie Powders and a water brush to highlight the lettering and parcels.  I also added some spatters of gold over the whole piece.
Once trimmed, the topper was simply matted and layered on green, gold glitter card, then on green again.

Finally, the whole thing was added to a base card made from red glitter card and the word 'Son' added using a gold peel off.
