Inchies with a Twist!

The prompt for week 43 over on Art Journal Prompts was Inchies; I decided to add a twist to the theme.
I worked on a piece of 19.5cm x 18.5cm mixed media card and used the Gel Press Petite Square (3" x 3") to add Lime Kiss, Aqua Fusion, Fancy Fuchsia, Indian Jamun, Ocean Reef and Midnight Blue Artistry inks to my card.
Between applications, I cleaned my Speedball brayer and gel petite off on a piece of copy paper.
Having decided that I preferred the mop up sheet background, I glued it to the card, sealed it with Distress Collage Medium, dried it off with my heat gun and trimmed the edges.  As you can see, I tore part of the background, but as it was later covered up, I didn't worry too much.
I had made some backgrounds several days before using Brushos, Pixie Powders, Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle paint, Distress Inks (see HERE for details)  and had also tried out some of my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens (Autumn/Winter set) on some spare card.  Some of these were cut down to 0.5"x0.5" and 1"x1" pieces and added down the page taking great care with the spacing.
To tidy up the edges, I added narrow lengths of ribbon in four different colour ways (but with the same pattern) down each side of the inchies and half inchies.
Finally, I added the quote by John Bytheway that I had found, using my Dymo Letratag to print most of it out, but with the word 'Inch' stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed using Bright White detail embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer.  The alphabet was, as always, the Word Chain Alphabet by Claritystamp.  The word 'by' comes from the Chit Chat sticker book by Tim Holtz.
