WOYWW 737: Two Days and ...Ofsted!
So much for a relaxing last week of term. We had the phone call on Monday and Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) inspectors are in today. They were also in yesterday.
My desk shows the latest Temu deliveries ready for my #dailycollage next year.Like everyone in school feels.
Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping Ground for more WOYWW fun. May not get round to visiting this week as I will be heading in early. School will be open from 7am instead of 7.30am. Happy WOYWW.

#dailydrawing2023: Half Way Through July
Half way through July with my #dailydrawing2023 challenge to myself so time for another round up of the first half of the month.
As you can see Broom appears twice so I substituted Bat the second time around.I chanelled a DIsney character from Beauty and the Beast but kept it non copyright.A typical scene.Fences make good ones!I do like sci-fi.I decided to go with the verb rather than the adjective. The non edible variety. The obvious response to the prompt.I googled a picture to copy.I decided to go with the wax variety.Keeping it simple.
Well we are in the middle of the Ashes series.Nice and snuggly!Always my choice at McDonalds.Still avoiding drawing faces if possible.

A Mermaid Tale?
The current challenge over on Tag Tuesday is Mermaids / Merpeople. I
tried some paper piecing as an alternative to colouring. I love the
mermaid tail which is part of the Dee's Friends A4 (and A5) Faith stamp
set. I started off small, testing the technique with a tag.
Add a light layer of white gesso and once dry, seal with matte gel medium. Add stamping along the bottom using the tendrils of the jellyfish. Stamp multiple times in Versamark ink and heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Add a tint to the background using a Sky Blue Indian ink pen and blend out. Stamp the mermaid tail onto the back of a piece of Indian Summer paper in Cobalt Blue archival ink and cut out. Add the tail to the tag and seal with matte gel medium, drying thoroughly. Add shading with the same pens as before in Cobalt Green, Phthalo Blue and Indanthrene Blue, blending out with a Pergamano blending pen & nib. To finish, cut out ‘You are beautiful’ from the printed sentiments, edge with Cobalt Blue ink and add them to the tag.
