Wildflower Tag

This card came together remarkably quickly once I'd decided on the initial concept.  The tags were already coloured (to find out how see HERE) and the new Wild flower Thinlits dies designed by Tim Holtz were calling out to me.  As the tags were such a bright colour, I decided to go with black silhouettes as a contrast.

I chose to go with an ivory base card (A4 scored and folded in half to create an A5 portrait blank).  I cut a piece of black card 20cm x 13.8cm and used one of the Distressed Addlington Collage dies by Memory Box in the top left and bottom right hand corner.

When I overlaid the black onto the ivory card there was too stark a contrast, so I cut the second tag in half and used it behind the die cut sections to tie in with the main topper.

Three of the flower dies were die cut from the same black card and a sentiment from the Little Voice sentiment set by Indigoblu was stamped using black Archival ink.

Once the card was layered up, it became apparent that something was needed round the edge on the ivory base card.  I used the Stylised Flowers stamp also by Indigoblu to add some interest . I also coloured some ribbon using distress inks in Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry and Broken China to match the colours of the tag.

I added the tag onto the card using foam tape to provide added dimension.  The whole card (after the tags were coloured) only took an hour to come together; a much smoother process than sometimes!!
