This fortnight's challenge from Tag Tuesday is a Nautical Theme. I decided to use one of the Clarity Crafts new design club dies to create this tag to
use as a book mark.
I
can guarantee being able to find a suitable quick background in one of
the Designer paper pads. This one is from the Indian Summer
collection. I glued a piece to a #8 manilla tag and trimmed the excess.
I used the aperture die to cut a piece of silver mirri card.
Next, I snipped the coral and the seahorse out of the aperture.
Before I added them to the card, I stamped the coral from the tropical
fish stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in Copper embossing
powder.
The die cut coral was then added.
I decided to add the rest of the coral from the aperture along the left hand side for balance.
The seahorse was coloured using Watermelon and Sunset Orange alcohol inks on a felt pad with a little blending solution.
This made the seahorse stand out when added to the tag.
To finish, I added three of Leonie's word stickers. A little Tumbled
Glass distress ink was rubbed over the top so they wouldn't be too stark
against the background.
