Geometric Hopi Dancers
For my next sample using some of the smaller Hopi Dancer stamps, I added stencilling into the background.Die cut a topper from Clarity premium card using the 3.5” x 2.5” nested rectangle die and add three of the small Hopi Ladies outline stamps (Keeper of the Birds, Dancing Waters, Spirit of the River) in Jet Black Archival ink.Mask off 2” at the right-hand of a 5” x 5” white card blank using low tack tape.Add the Geometric Lines Stencil and blend Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress inks through the apertures. Remove the masking.Add the ‘drink the wild air’ sentiment (Whispering Feathers) over the top of the stencilling in Wild Honey Distress Oxide (1st and 2nd generation stamping).Colour the stamped imaged with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils, blended with a watercolour brush pen (#113, #107, #115, #108).Die cut a mat from Waimea Falls designer card using the 3.75” x 2.75” nested rectangle picot die and mat up the topper.Ground the ladies using #271 and blend as before. Add the topper to the card.To finish, add a Pinky Gray Greetings sticker and go round it with a yellow Perga Colour pen.
