February Inky Calendar Page

I let the background do most of the talking for my February inky Clarity calendar page as I had a really cool copy paper inky mop up sheet that I found.

WOYWW 869/89: Busy Busy

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

Wishing Neet a continuing recovery now she is back home.

Some of you were not too sure what I

meant by a Groovi plate last week so I have a small selection on my desk today.  They are etched plates to help transfer line art onto parchment using an embossing tool.

This is the finished card that I was working on last week.
Here's the project that I completed at Tilly Tea Dance's workshop last Friday.  It was a great day and good to see Jo as well.

As you can see I am keeping up with the #dailyatc2026.  I spent yesterday afternoon at the U3a recorder group in Lichfield.   It was the first time that I had made it this year and it was so good to play some new music together and catch up with my brother who conducts the group.
Apart from crafting and visiting Mum, I have no other plans this coming week - although next Tuesday is the get together with retired staff from the first school that I worked at.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Simple Groovi Birthday Card

I rejoined the Clarity New Design Groovi club for the first time in years and I am determined to play with each plate as it arrives.  The one for January 2026 is a pretty jug of flowers and the projects that accompany it are exquisite.  However, I stuck with something smaller and simpler to create this 5x5 birthday card.

Leafy Foliage Card

I loved the look of the projects that came with the January 2026 Clarity New Design Club stencil but did not have the time for a big gel press play.  Instead I went with Distress Oxides and created a small card (5" x 5").

Thank You to a Friend

I combined the Clarity New Design Club stamps for January 2026 with one of the Autumn/Winter Landscape Backdrop Print Toppers to create this mini make.

Add Some Text: A Canvas Board

The fortnightly challenge over on Try It On Tuesday is 'Add Some Text', so I thought this canvas with stamping on book text and an added die cut would fit the bill.  I love how the stamping creates a rich background when the rice paper is added to a canvas board with matte medium.

Deb's Shows: Ideas and Inspiration

Deb Wheeler is showcasing some lovely Clarity stamps and dies today over on Clarity Social TV, so I thought I would bring together some of my samples using these as inspiration.  As always, the links to the original blog posts and step by steps are below each photo.

When is a frame not a frame? (see HERE).

Jazz the Fox

With the new set of Timestamp Creations stamps being launched, I thought it was time to use one of the previous releases.  I went with the Jazz the Fox set, combined with a background from last year's Clarity inky retreat.

WOYWW 868/88: Feeling Much Better

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

Still sending love and best wishes to Neet in hospital.

My desk actually shows a work in prog

ress for a change.  I rejoined the Clarity New Design Groovi club after a few years away and am in the middle of working on the January offering.

I have put a pause on the knitting for the moment as Mum pointed out that it may have had a bearing on the pain - GP says it is likely muscular-skeletal as most other things were ruled out at A&E last week.  Thank you so much for all your well wishes.  I am feeling a lot better and the Ibuprofen gel prescribed by the GP is helping as well.

I had to resort to a Groovi plate for this one as I do not have a Clarity hourglass stamp.

As you can see, I have managed to keep up with my #dailyatc2026 challenge.
I am hoping to catch up with Twiglet on Friday as I am attending a Tilly Tea Dance workshop.  I will be at Mum's tomorrow therefore and hope to catch up with desk visits there.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Using an Offcut on a Card

It is surprising how effective a small offcut of a larger background can be when used as a panel on a small card.  Here I used another one from the Clarity Summer Retreats in 2025.

Mid Month Challenge: Out with the Old, in with the New

The mid month challenge for January over on Clarity Crafts Mini Makes & ATCs is Out with the Old, in with the New.  I chose to use the earliest Clarity New Design Club stamp that I have (#3) and one of the new Tree Aperture stamp sets - All we Have is Now.

#dailyatc2026: The Challenge Begins

Having completed a drawing every day of 2025, I decided to go with creating a #dailyatc2026 for my challenge this year.  I am using the prompts for 2026 over on 365 days of drawing prompts and other art, but using card, stamps, masks, stencils and stickers from Clarity Crafts to fulfil them.

Happy New Year.

It hasn't been too difficult to find products to match the prompts so far, although I did have to go with a Groovi plate for day 16.  I prepared a month of ATC backgrounds in advance using Turquoise, Juniper and Cool Peri Alcohol inks and stamped onto the backs using the Clarity ATC stamp in Jet Black Archival ink.
I shall do the same for February, but change the colour palette.  Ideas anyone?

Art Deco Tag

I put the Art Deco Special Day Sentiment stamps through their paces for this project, and used one of my backgrounds from the online alcohol ink on a gel plate workshop with Barbara Gray to create this tag.
