WOYWW 824/44: Hump Day

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

I was busy putting away my new Clarity Club stamps and stencil yesterday afternoon when I took this.  I shall have to start a new butterfly and birds storage box.

This one caused controversy with some people on the prompt page and one person has called for me to be banned.  I have blocked a couple of the ruder members and will happily leave if asked to.  I have a copy of the prompts for the rest of this year so I can continue without sharing to the group.
Prince of Wales to King Charles III.

I really do not like stairs with no risers!

I had a lovely catch up with a former colleague yesterday morning.  We have arranged to meet up again next month and I am looking forward to it.  I am really busy with secret stuff over the next couple of weeks so I am afraid that my desk will be rather boring - although I do have a couple of parcels on their way so could share my new stash when it arrives.

I'd quite like to get a better idea of numbers for the crop on May 10th at it is edging ever closer.  I will have to finalise payment for the hall two weeks before.  The cost will be £140 divided by however many people attend.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

WOYWW 815/35: Crop Announcement

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who was kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk shows the latest Clarity New Design Club stamps and stencils which arrived on Monday. I needed to put them away until I have time to play - but I have secret stuff to work on first. I stocked up on storage in the last sale as I like the folders for the booklets and stencils.

My #dailyart2025 pages are getting quicker to complete - it takes more time to think up a response to the prompt sometimes lol.

The date for the crop is now firm - 10th May 2025 10am-4pm.  A few of you expressed concerns about travelling on a Bank Holiday weekend so I played it safe.  I will be able to let you know the cost once I know numbers, but I only allowed a half hour either side of the start and finish time this time so it is £20 less than last year.  I will be providing hot drinks and biscuits but any cake will be gratefully received by all no doubt.  Like last year, packed lunches will be the order of the day (there is a good sandwich shop and convenience store across the road from the hall) and we have the cafĂ© area available to us again as well as the main hall.  The location is the same as last year Penkhull Village Hall, Trent Valley Road, Stoke on Trent ST4 5JB.  There is parking behind the hall and it is not too far a taxi ride from the train station.

Hope I will be able to see lots of you there - it will be the 16th anniversary of WOYWW the following Wednesday so ATC swaps can take place there for all those attending.

Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Fantasy Journal Page at the WOYWW Crop

As I was attending the annual WOYWW crop I decided to take the  minimum of crafting to do.  So much time is spent catching up, eating cake, catching up, cake, coffee ... you get the idea, that there is little actual time spent on crafting.  I therefore only took some stamps, my Strathmore Visual Journal water brushes and colouring materials: Luminarte Twinkling H2Os and my Ecoline pens from Royal Talens.  Even so, I didn't finish the page while I was there.
