WOYWW 834/54: On My Travels

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk today shows the ATC received from Julia celebrating 16 years of WOYWW.  I sent her mine and a card - as I only had one, it seemed fitting to send it to her.  This will be on my blog tomorrow.

I will be setting off for Edenbridge as this blog post is published, to help out with the preparations for the Clarity Open Days on Friday and Saturday.  I shall be away until Monday so I am unlikely to have much time to visit this week sadly.

I thought Sleeping Beauty's Palace fitted the bill.

I am taking my journal, pencils and pens with me so I can keep up with my #dailyart2025 pages.  I decided not to complete a week's worth in advance.
This time next week it will all be over until November.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Bird and Butterfly Trees: Ideas and Inspiration.

The Butterfly and Bird Tree stamps and stencils from Clarity Crafts are lovely.  Here is a selection of projects using them - links are below each photo.

My first ever art journal page using the Butterfly tree stamps (see HERE).

Mini Birthday Make

I had a play with the new Stamp Pen Sentiment stamps from Clarity Crafts, combining them with one of the Build a Wreath stamp sets to make this small card.

A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies: Ideas and Inspiration

I thought I would share some ideas using the Kaleidoscope of Butterfly stamps and dies.  As always, links to the original posts are below each image.

WOYWW 833/53: A Zoom Get Together

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk shows the fabulous ATC and card from Mary Anne which was waiting for me last week on my arrival home from work.  A lovely surprise.  I have posted my ATC off to Julia, without whom this whole camaraderie would never have begun.  It was lovely to catch up with Jan, Wipso, Twiglet, Lynnecrafts, Caro, BJ and Mary Anne via Zoom on Saturday - not so much a crop, but a chance to natter and catch up.

They should really have used this prompt for the 4th!
I have a meeting with parents of students who are going to Paris after school this evening, so it may be tomorrow morning before I visit.  As always stay safe and happy WOYWW.

Keep It Simple Engagement Card

The current challenge on Try It Tuesday is Keep it simple, so I thought this engagement card would fit the bill.

Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 2.5cm X 15cm. Stamp the solid small heart from the SHAC Love set into the middle in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide.
Add the three other small heart stamps either side in the same ink.
Build up one stamp at a time from outside to inside.
Add gold embossing by overlaying three of the images with a second small heart in Versamark ink and heat embossing in Bright gold embossing powder.
Trim the topper top and bottom, mat onto pink, then gold card, leaving narrow borders top and bottom.
Add the topper to the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank.
To finish, add Congratulations using one of the Entwined sentiments and the kissing couple from Wee Folk 1, below and above the topper in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

#dailyart2025 May Part I

I am still going strong with my #dailyart2025 watercolour sketches.  I use prompts from the 365 days of drawing prompts and other art FB group.

I do like a nice sour lime!
I went with a pop up camouflage version.
Why not include all the signs!
A quick sketch.
As useless as a chocolate tea pot.
Feeling sad for the USA.
A fun prompt.
I can hear Carmina Burana in the background.
A gorgeous piece of pottery that I am purchasing from the artist.
Nothing more to say.

Scary things happening in the USA.
Nothing controversial today.

Worldwide, I should imagine.
A challenge for the end of the first half of the month!
