New Baby Card with a Twist

 A former colleague had a baby recently and this is the card I sent to her. 

Add the large Moorhen and two of the smaller ones from the Feathered Friends miniature collection onto the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink. Mask up the large moorhen.

Add the original large Moorhen in the same manner and mask it up.

Add a second large moorhen behind the first and remove the masks.

Add Precious Esther at the top of the card in the same ink using Word Chain 10 and the Alphabet Word Chain stamps.

Colour the moorhens in the appropriate colours to represent the parents, siblings and the new baby using Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils, blended out with a watercolour brush pen (#123, #119, #133, #193, #128, #129, #247, #144, #140, #146, #246, #194, #132).

To finish, add shading below the moorhens.
