Bubble Blowing Birthday Boy

Apologies from the start; I know that I had the idea for this having seen a similar layout in a magazine, but I cannot for the life of me remember which one to make the appropriate acknowledgement.  I was really struck by the idea of placing the sentiment along the side of the focal image so that it sticks out like a tab.

The boy blowing bubbles stamp by Papermania was stamped onto stamp card (9cm x 11cm) using black Memento ink and coloured using ProMarkers.  The Happy Birthday was stamped along the top of a 5cm x 3cm piece.  Both were matted onto pale blue card leaving a very narrow edge.  The sentiment was then glued behind the image 2.25cm up from the bottom and sticking out 2cm in total. This was stuck onto a piece of 12.5cm x 12.5cm patterned paper from a collection by K&Co, which was in turn, matted onto a piece of dark blue card, leaving a very narrow edge.  The bottom layer is a piece of 14cm x 14cm paper with a 3cm x 14cm strip of another paper glued down it 3cm in from the left hand side and matted onto dark blue card leaving a very narrow edge.  The base card is  14.8cm x 14.8cm  made from a sheet of A4 textured white card, folded in half and trimmed square.  Finally, a piece of the same paper that was used for the strip on the bottom layer of the background was cut to 3cm x 3.5cm and trimmed diagonally to form two triangles.  These were matted onto pale blue card leaving a narrow border and added in two corners  suing foam pads.  Blue gems and a peel off added the final touches.
