Happy Birthday Son

My own birthday never makes me feel my age, but somehow, when my children get a year older, I feel it more!  I am really proud of my middle son, who has started a business from nothing and built it up over the last year.  He's very into gaming and computers, so I felt this card was appropriate.

The whole card was made from plain white card, with a little black card for the matting and the outside of the mobile phone.  I used a pre-made, white 15cm x 15cm base card and stamped around each edge using one of the borders from the Sound and Light set by Indigoblu and Onyx Black Versafine ink.  The green layer started life as a piece of 12cm x 12cm white card, covered with Metallic Gilding Polish by Cosmic Shimmer in Citrus Green.  This produces a pearlescent finish, which I wanted as the background for the 'circuit board' element.
The top layer was another border from the same stamp set stamped and heat embossed multiple times in Versamark ink and Copper detail Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder, with the stamp turned 180 degrees each time.
I die cut the inner section of the mobile phone die by Marianne twice; once from white card and once from black which I also embossed.  The message was stamped on the white section using the stamps which came with the die (apart from the 'Happy Birthday Son' which are silver peel-offs coloured black to match).
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Claritystamp onto white card and matted it onto a piece of black card.
