I really like the Woodland Art Block stamp collection from Claritystamp. Here I have gathered together inspiration for five cards using three of the sets - links to detailed step by step instructions and photos are below each picture.

Happy 80th Birthday Mum
My Mum was known as Polly when training to be a nurse many years ago and her birthday is not long after Christmas, so I decided to use the Polly character designed by Marina Fedotova inside the Winter Entwined Wreath for her birthday card.

Drawing Challenge Complete
On 1st January 2021 I challenged myself to complete a drawing every day during 2021. SInce then I have filled three Daler-Rowney cartridge paper sketch books and used up two fine Posca pens. I did however complete the challenge - the first time I have ever completely kept a New Year's Resolution. Here are the last of my drawings for last year. Not sure what my challenge will be this year.
The small print in contracts leapt to mind.I drew a whale last time I had this prompt, so thought of something different this time.Another repeat prompt - last time was a football rattle. An easy prompt - drawn from life.A quick response to this one.I have drawn closed books previously.I added birds as I have drawn clouds before. The last time I had this prompt I drew a crooked house.Different aspects of the holidays for Christmas Day.Another quick and easy sketch. My immediate thought was the Secret Garden. No snow this Christmas but still damp and miserable!I already know what I am drawing for tomorrow's prompt!Well it had to be really!Celebrating both the end of the year and the successful conclusion to my challenge.Friday, 31 December 2021

WOYWW 656: Quiet Christmas
Happy WOYWW - another palindrome for LLJ to celebrate. I hope you have all had a pleasant, safe Christmas. We kept things small and did as we did last year and went over to our two eldest sons' place to cook Christmas dinner together (and delicious it was).
I can finally show the results of my first Tilly Teadance needle felting workshop as Mum's birthday was on Monday. We were going to celebrate together, but Mum and Dad decided it was safe to postpone a big family get together until Dad's birthday in May, so we will have a double celebration then. I did get a chance to video chat though and she liked her present. This photo shows my version of Max's seagull which I also started at the workshop and finished as a Christmas gift to my sister. Not a patch on Maxine's work but I was pleased with the result and my sister liked it which is the main thing.I am coming to the end of my daily drawing challenge. I may try a 5 minute journal page a day as an alternative in 2022. I have a 4" x 4" spiral bound kraft card scrapbook and have already started gessoing pages to get ahead. I will have to see how things go though as I am not so sure I will be able to keep this going on a daily basis and it may become a once a week project instead. Happy WOYWW. Stay safe everyone.
