JJJ and Mindful Art 18: The Change, Purple, Orange, Green

I must admit that this isn't my favourite colour combination, so I was quite surprised how quickly this page came together.  However, I don't like missing a challenge on Junk Journals Junkies and Mindful Art, so I had a go.  I'm not entirely sure about the finished piece but I love the quote.

I wanted to break the page quickly just to get started, so fell back on a tried and trusty method which is quick and easy.  I sprinkled Pixie Powders in Purple Violet, Burnt Orange and Spearmint over the pages and blended/sealed the colours using Distress Collage Medium.  This creates a random background of all the colours.
Next I added a layer of stamping using some new stamps by Visible Image - Scripted Streets.  The map stamp was stamped in Violet Archival ink and the spattered script stamp using Venetian Orange.  I held the stamps in my hand rather than use an acrylic block as I didn't want any hard edges.

For the next step, I added Emerald Green Archival ink through both the mini and larger of the Tim Holtz Wildflower stencils (THS035, THMS035) along the bottom of the page.

Finally, I stamped the word 'Change' from Word Chain 7 by Claritystamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Detail Black embossing powder.  I hand wrote the rest of the quote with a Pitt Brush Marker.
