Advent, Advent, ein Lichtlein brennt: Art Journal Page

This is the last of my festive pages for Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More.  As week 4 was also the fourth Sunday of Advent I decided to use the first part of a traditional German Christmas rhyme. (Meine letzte Kunstjournalseite zum Thema 'Fest'.)

I stamped the candle Outline stamp from Claritystamp four times in Black Memories dye based ink, masking off the previous images as necessary. (Ich habe die Clarity Kerze viermal gestempelt und zwei Masken benutzt.)

The candles were painted using Royal Talens Van Gogh water colours and a sable brush. (Ich habe die Kerzen mit Aquerellfarben gemalt.)

The foreground and background were painted in the same manner. (Vordergrund und Hintergrund wurden auch so gemalt.)

I die cut the two pine cones and fir branch from the Spellbinders Fall Foliage set several times as well as the solid holly leaves from the Holly Accessory set by Sue Wilson. (Ich habe verschiedene Stechpalmenblätter, Kieferzapfen und Tannenzweige gestanzt.)

They were coloured with Distress Oxides: Ground Espresso, Pine Needles and Forest Moss. (Sie wurden mit Distress Oxidetinten eingefärbt.)

I blended Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide through the Clarity mini script stencil along the bottom of the page, masking off the candles as necessary. (Unten habe ich 'Fossilized Amber' Distress Oxidetinte durch die kleine 'Script' Schablone eingeblendet.)

The foliage was added using Cosmic Shimmer acrylic glue. (Ich habe das grüne Gezweig mit Klebstoff unten hinzugefügt.)

Masking as appropriate,  I added stamping in Manganese Blue Archival ink using the script stamp from the Clarity Journaling set.  (Ich habe den Clarity 'Script' Stempel mit Archivtinte im Hintergrund benutzt.)

I printed out the words of the German rhyme using my Dymo Letratag: Advent, Advent a little light burns!  First one, then two, then three, then four, then the Christchild arrives at the door.  They were added to the page.   (Ich habe den Text mit meinem Dymo Letratag Drucker ausgedruckt und hinzugefügt.)

To blend the text in with the background, I added Salty Ocean and Festive Berries Distress Oxides to the strips of text. (Ich habe den Text mit Distress Oxidetinten eingefärbt.)

Only one more page to complete, then my 2018 weekly journal will be finished. (Nur noch eine Seite zu vollenden, dann ist meine Kunstjournal für 2018 fertig.)
