WOYWW 751: Poorly Car

Well it has not been a great week since I last joined in with Julia at Stamping Ground for WOYWW.  The engine management light came on in my car on my way to the open morning at school on Saturday morning so I had to get a lift and the car is going in for a diagnostic this afternoon (Tuesday as I write) to see what needs doing.  Keeping everything crossed it won't cost too much or I will be looking for a new car to put the repair money towards.

My desk shows all the early Clarity New Design Club stamps that were part of the estate sale that I picked up.
My drawings this week have been kept quick and simple out of necessity this week.  I must admit that I can't wait until the weekend and the start of half term.  I have a full day felting class with Tilly Tea Dance on Saturday.  Hopefully the car will be back in use otherwise hubby will be giving me a lift there and back.  Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.
UPDATE: After the repalcement of a wire and the diagnostic run for a second time, all well again.  Total cost £60.

WOYWW 715: Countdown

Happy WOYWW and welcome to the weekly sharing of desks with Julia at Stamping Ground.

My desk shows some stamps that I am planning to use to make a card.  I have decided to use any stamps that have not yet had an outing and the swimmers fit the bill.  Pop back next week to see the final result.
My #dailydrawing2023 journal is still going strong.  Hoping that I won't need to take a break after my op next week but will catch up one way or another.  Stay safe everyone.

WOYWW 665: Back To Work

Well that week disappeared quickly and Wednesday is back again.  Sharing my desk as always with Julia and the gang at WOYWW hosted at Stamping Ground.

As you can see, I have started my second daily journal with a new 6" x 6" kraft scrapbook from The Works.  I had a bit of a mixed week off.  Plenty of crafting but my car failed its MOT last Friday.  Luckily Monday was an INSET day at the Bet365 stadium which is walking distance from home and the work was done by the end of the day.  I also had some tests at the hospital in the afternoon so hubby picked me up and dropped me off.  Just waiting for results now (1-2 weeks), but the Doctor didn't seem too concerned.

Such terrible news coming out of Ukraine.  Praying that the Russian megalomaniac will be ousted soon as the sanctions start to bite and his inner circle are affected.  I am just sorry that the ordinary Russian people are caught up in his machinations and will suffer too.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.  I will be round to visit later or in the morning.

WOYWW 595: Chilling Out

Morning fellow deskers and welcome to the weekly contribution to Julia's link up over at Stamping Ground for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

My desk is set up ready for my daily contribution to #inktober2020.  I still usually do a pencil underdrawing before going in with the ink.  I have been enjoying half term, relaxing, watching TV and Netflix and some occasional crafting.  All my samples made it in time so I will be looking out on air on Friday, Sunday and Monday to see if any get shown.
I had a day off from crafting on Sunday but had a fun time Monday making this 3D piece for a Halloween challenge (see HERE for details if interested).  Unfortunately Eva has not been able to visit as we went into tier 2 at the start of half term so no mixing indoors!

Here are the last week's worth of Inktober contributions.  I can't believe that there are only three more prompts after today.  I may have to participate in the weekly challenge in 2021.  It has been very relaxing starting each day with a quick sketch.

I am really looking forward to our Zoom get together for the 600th WOYWW in December.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW everyone.

WOYWW 594: Countdown to Half Term

Back for another sharing of the desk and linking up with WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?) courtesy of our weekly host Julia at Stamping Ground.  I must admit to counting down the days until half term now.  I am so ready for a break from work.

My desk shows me getting ready for my daily #inktober2020 drawing as that is what I do each morning.  You can see Monday and yesterday's offerings in the sketchbook that I keep especially for these sketches.  I can't show you anything else at the moment as i am busy making samples for three different Clarity shows, ready for posting at the weekend.  I will share the #inktober drawings that I have done since last week in case you are interested.

The open evening/Saturday went well and the Saturday counts as one of our twilight training seesions for this year so that is good.  It may be the weekend before I manage to visit, sample making dependent.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.
