Rainbow Miniature Cranes

I thought the miniature cranes which are part of this new stamp set from Clarity Crafts would work well in my signature rainbow colours - what do you think?

Japanese Ideas and Inspiration

As Japan month draws to a close on Clarity Crafts Social TV, I thought I would share some of the projects created using the Floral Panels, Floral Crescent and Geisha & Waterhouse stamps.  Links to each project are below the photos.

On a marbled background (see HERE).

Japanese Landscape

I decided to have a quick play with one of the new Landscapes by Barbara toppers that I received a a gift with a Clarity order.  I mixed and matched some of the Treescape stamp sets and added a geisha for Japan month.

WOYWW 825/45: No Crop Sorry

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

I am really sorry, but I have had to cancel the crop.  We are all getting older and the numbers able to make it just did not make it financially viable.  I am not out of pocket however, as I cancelled the hall in sufficient time to get my full deposit returned.

I can't show much of what I am working on at the moment.  Lots of secret stuff for Clarity - but if you watch Clarity Social TV on Sunday 6th April you may see some of my work.

Nothing controversial this week with my #dailyart2025, although I was tempted to colour the heart as the US flag.

I hope perhaps we can organise a virtual crop near to the 16th Anniversary - perhaps the 17th May.  If there is anyone who has the professional version of zoom which is not limited to 45 minutes who could host things I would be grateful if you let me know.  We will of course do the usual ATC swap.  With postage being what it is these days I would say perhaps we should limit it to the PIF person on the list, but I am open to discussion.

Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Did Somebunny Say Spring?

The latest prompt over on Try It On Tuesday is Spring Fling.  I thought this art journal page would fit the bill - it is quite simple, but trying a new technique; using embossing powder over the top of texture paste.

WOYWW 824/44: Hump Day

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

I was busy putting away my new Clarity Club stamps and stencil yesterday afternoon when I took this.  I shall have to start a new butterfly and birds storage box.

This one caused controversy with some people on the prompt page and one person has called for me to be banned.  I have blocked a couple of the ruder members and will happily leave if asked to.  I have a copy of the prompts for the rest of this year so I can continue without sharing to the group.
Prince of Wales to King Charles III.

I really do not like stairs with no risers!

I had a lovely catch up with a former colleague yesterday morning.  We have arranged to meet up again next month and I am looking forward to it.  I am really busy with secret stuff over the next couple of weeks so I am afraid that my desk will be rather boring - although I do have a couple of parcels on their way so could share my new stash when it arrives.

I'd quite like to get a better idea of numbers for the crop on May 10th at it is edging ever closer.  I will have to finalise payment for the hall two weeks before.  The cost will be £140 divided by however many people attend.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Plants and Pots Mini Make on Kraft

I went for a mini make for my last sample using the Potted Plants stamps from Clarity stamps.  Rather than stamping an infill for the posts, I used paper piecing instead.

#dailyart2025 March Part I

Already half way through my third month of joining in with the prompts over on 365 Days of Drawing Prompts and Other Art.  Some of them have been challenging but I have enjoyed practising my drawing/watercolour skills.

A challenging one, but I turned the dancers into an M to make Me at the end of Love.
Another challenge - pianos are not my forte lol.

In memory of my late husband.
I was going for a flower but I don't think it worked.
Much easier.

Influenced by some of the lunacy happening in the USA.
As was this.
Prince Charles, elevated to King Charles III.
A bit obvious but easy.

Rainbow Plant Pots

I love these new sets of plants and post two way overlay stamps from Clarity Crafts.  For my first sample I went with my favourite rainbow colours.

WOYWW 823/43: What A week

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.  I must apologise for not visiting last week - Saturday was the anniversary of Paul's death and yesterday I had a departmental review in school so I have been up to my neck with work.

My desk therefore has contained nothing but my laptop, #dailyart2025 and secret stuff for the last couple of weeks.  This is a candid shot of my typical breakfast - fat free Greek yoghurt, blueberries, strawberries and granola.

There have been some very challenging prompts this week but Saturday's was on the nose.

The school is interviewing for my replacement on Friday so I am off timetable for the morning to participate in lesson observations.  Back to normal lessons in the afternoon while the formal interviews take place.  Assessments are coming up for KS3 so I will have plenty of marking to keep me occupied. Thank goodness for my recorder groups.

Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.
