The countdown to the end of the year continues. I have been using up more of my 6" x 6" paper pads, stickers, die cuts and toppers. As always each page is completed with one or more of the fabulous words stickers from Clarity - five collections to choose from.
I started the month with the last of my tree tile pages.Thursday, 17 November 2022

WOYWW 701: Plodding Along
And so the start of the next century of desk sharing begins - please visit Julia at Stamping Ground to find out more about the phenomenon which is WOYWW.
And so to my desk. Yesterday was my fortnightly recorder group get together so I was sorting out the music needed - my brother conducts the group so I get to spend extra time with him too.I did promise to show you the birthday card I made for #1 son's birthday yesterday. We saw him at the weekend as he was working on the day.Sunday, 17 July 2022
Daily Journal Pages: Over Half Way
The year is now more than half over and I have started on my 4th 6" x 6" kraft scrapbook on my daily journal journey. Apart from the first page, I have started working in batches of four. As always, every page is finished using one of the Clarity words stickers - there are four books of stickers available.
I started with some of my new Tim Holtz collage squares and a Clarity die cut.Followed by some of the Studiolight Just Lou Exploration die cuts.
And the Jenine's Mindful Art Collection papers and die cuts.
The background for these pages is a paper mat which I picked up ina Hungarian restaurant when we visited Roumania before the pandemic.
The start of a run of 4 pages using Just Lou's Flight die cuts from Studiolight.

WOYWW 683: One and A Half Weeks
The countdown to the holidays continues and once tonight's parents' evening is over the majority of my term time work will be done. Not sure how many appointments I have yet but I only had 5 for the virtual parents' evening yesterday.
My desk shows me prepping for the next few pages of my daily journal. I have started working on runs of four pages with the same theme as it creates a more cohesive look and makes things easier. Please visit more desks c/o Julia, leader of WOYWW, at Stamping Ground or better yet, share your own.I arrived home from work on Friday evening to find tree surgeons cutting down the two trees that we have been worried about for some time. They were enormous, very close to the neighbours property and we have been concerned that they might fall and damage something. Hubby only rang for a quote at lunchtime and they started work just before 5pm - finished by just after 6pm. We opted to dispose of the wood ourselves at that was a saving of over £600 and a skip costs a lot less. Lots of chippings for the borders were left too.
One tree was down before I got my camera - we didn't want to lose the magnolia
The second tree loomed ominously over the shed.
Halfway down
Gone but still affecting the fence until we deal with the stump

WOYWW 669: Starting the Countdown
The weeks are coming round ever more quickly now and it's unbelievably time to join in again with WOYWW and show off our desks with Julia at Stamping Ground. I was thinking of Julia on Sunday as I know that it was likely to be a difficult day for her with her Mum's funeral being so close to Mother's Day.
I found a pad of preprinted toppers which I have been using recently. Eva came over to craft yesterday afternoon for the first time since I had Covid but the shed has been cleaned and well aired out in the week and a half since I went back to work. She was working on Groovi projects as you can see.
This time in two weeks the Easter
holidays will have begun and with clocks springing forward last weekend
in the UK 2022 seems to be whizzing by. As there won't be a meeting after work today due to Y5 and Y7 residential visits I will try and get round to everyone this evening. Happy WOYWW everyone.
