A New Baby Card using Shrink Plastic

A friend and former colleague had her second baby recently.  This is the card I made for her and the rest of the family.  I love these stamps and shrink plastic seemed the way to go to fit them all on the same card in the appropriate size to represent Mum, Dad, big sister and the new baby.

Entwined Spring Wreath

These new entwined floral wreath stamps from Claritystamp, designed by Barbara Gray, are beautiful.  They work so well with the floral alphabet and number stamps, but also by themselves.

Doodleology Shutter Card

I first saw an example of a shutter card a while back in a sample by Clarity DT member Wendy Thorburn.  She kindly shared the instructions and I have also watched various YouTube videos demonstrating the method.  In the end I used the measurements given by Diana in her YouTube video.  This is my version.

WOYWW 553: The holidays have come to an end

And so things return to a normal routine in 2020.  Back to work and fitting in crafting around the 'day job' as my father describes it.  At least I only have to wait a day for each crafty 'fix' as I have every other day off.  Not today though, so as usual this post is being written the day before ready to join in with WOYWW.
I am being rather naughty as I am showing you a sneaky peek of some secret stuff that I was working on yesterday ready for posting tomorrow on my next day off.  I was using colouring pencils rather than my new water colours, not because the set that you saw on my desk last week aren't any good, but because I wanted a change of medium from my first couple of samples in this collection.  I am happy with the Boldmere set of 72 water colour pencils that I bought from the Works.  There is a great selection of colours, they go on smoothly and blend out nicely with water.  They will certainly do me while I save for my dream Albrecht Durer Faber-Castell set of 120.
I can't show you the finished card that I was working on because the show isn't on until 18th January at 4pm.  I can share one of my samples from the shows at the weekend though.  If you'd like to know how I made it, pop back tomorrow.  Unfortunately there is nothing to show on the other side of the desk as Eva couldn't make it over to play.  Hopefully she'll be back in two weeks.  I'll be round tomorrow morning to visit as I have a meeting after work this evening.  Happy WOYWW everyone and don't forget to pop over to The Stamping Ground to visit chief desker Julia and links to many more desks.

New Year Floral Card

I made this card on Monday in readiness for the new year.  I couldn't resist working with the floral number stamps from Claritystamp as they are so pretty.  I also had another play with my new water colour pencils.
