WOYWW 846/66: Be Prepared

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

I admit to having prepared this blog further in advance than usual (Monday instead of Tuesday afternoon).  I will be setting off early for the Clarity retreats tomorrow and will be calling into Crawley to drop off a card and presents for my sister before our birthday on Friday before arrival in Maidstone. I will also be meeting up with friends for an evening meal so wasn't sure if I would have time to write anything once there. My desk shows a die that I have been after for ages and which I finally managed to track down on eBay for a reasonable price. I will get photos from the retreat for next week!  EDIT The meal was cancelled due to illness, so having spent a lovely couple of hours with BIL I got checked in and took a photo for an update to the desk.
My 'desk' at the hotel.
I am taking my trusty camera with me!

The age old argument - B, myself as a non pet owner.

Childhood memories.
I will try and update this tomorrow if I have time, but otherwise will visit everyone when I get back.  I am picking up a friend of my Mums who is coming to stay with her for a month and who lives in Gillingham on the way home, so I will have company on my birthday.  We are having a family get together on Sunday at Mum's, although sis' and BIL won't be arriving until next Tuesday - there were far more people who couldn't make it the following weekend.

Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Enjoy your birthday get together and Happy Birthday to you and your twin. How nice for your mum to have a friend stay with her for a whole month and for you to have her company on the ride home.
On your drawings - definitely B on the toilet paper.

Oh gosh so much to take in today with all your plans. Just thought your sis is near me in Crawley. Hope the retreat goes well, I could do with one of those. Love the childhood memory sketch. Our sofas have mostly been up against a wall so it was (and still is) a cushion for me. Only yesterday, after seeing the Amy Pond actress on The One Show, was I thinking when will Dr Who be back on our screens, it might have lost its bite but I watch them all the same. I'm and A person (no pets either!) but it is just personal choice in the end really. Oh and super die, Ebay is great for unusual stuff isn't it. Enjoy your birthday, Hugs BJ#7

Definitely “B” for me and I have 3 dogs! Love the colours and stencil you used for your new die. It doesn’t look like the hotel provided biscuits to go with tea! 😕. Have a great time.Angela #12

Have a fabulous birthday weekend! Sounds like it's a busy one. Brilliant week of drawings!!! I was never afraid of the Daleks on TV but when as a youngster I visited the Dr Who exhibition in Blackpool and saw them on display, I was terrified! I crawled past them on my knees so they couldn't see me lol. P xxxxx

Good morning, Sarah.
I hope you have a great time at the retreat. I notice I'm not the only one who travels with a fan. I'm a B. I am a pet owner but they don't bother the TP. Just my quirk
I always look forward to your drawings.

I hope you’re enjoying your Clarity retreat and have an excellent birthday, Sarah. Your daily watercolours are great, especially the one where you’re hiding behind the sofa watching Dr Who.

Never hurts to get ahead. My that really is an old die. I seem to recall that I paid someone for 10 die cuts rather than add it to my collection - pretty sure they are still knocking about somewhere!! Looks like you have some good socialising time ahead - enjoy!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #10

We have similar Dr Who memories! Many happy returns to you both for Friday, it doesn't need staying really, but I will say it - hope you're enjoying the Clarity retreat! Usually a last hurrah before going back to school...!

I have that Tim Holtz umbrella man die cut, but haven't used it in a while. You've just inspired me to use it again, with that colorful way in which you used him. Happy WOYWW!
