Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness. Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch. August already - where does the time go?
I had some new stash arrive although I am still waiting on the extra storage tin that I ordered. I thought I would have another go at art journaling as it seems like ages since I had a proper session. Hopefully by next week I might have a page to show you.I am still playing in the new recorder - no more than 20 minutes a day for the first two weeks. That means when I go to my SRP (Society of Recorder Players) group on Saturday and u3a group next Tuesday it will be all played in a raring to go.
I hope LLJ had a great birthday last Friday. I am not the best at remembering everyone's unless FB reminds me.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

I hope you enjoy your journal - I need to get a second copy of the Dina ledger journal, they seem to be in short supply! Glad the new recorder is playing in well, and is all ready for the group on Saturday! Happy WOYWW Helen xx
Oh loving the new stash. I've not got any Oxides still so loving your mini collection and storage cases you might be an enabler here. Art journalling yay sounds great to me can't wait to see what you do. Had to have a shufty at your catch up pages, adore the sheep love your inventive ways of avoiding faces LOL then happen upon twins and the dancer. You are going to have a super collection of little books when the year is out. Hugs BJ#2
Not t sure I understand the whole “playing in” thing but hey, as long as you are having fun and enjoying it, it’s all good, right? And lol! I avoid faces too.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Sarah, love the new dailies. I have the new Dina Ledger but not done anything in it yet as you know I'm still obsessed with the clouds so maybe I'll do something like that to get started. Lucky you to have the new inks still waiting for mine they will be useful for the craft club. Have a good woywww. Hugs Angela x9x
Thank you Sarah, I had a lovely couple of days! Nice to see you have some new stash, hope you enjoy playing with it. How fab that you’re enjoying the recorder so much and brilliant that you have a local group as well, so much better when you play with friends xx
Hugs LLJ 7 xx
Love the drawings this week especially the last two - you've captured the emotions perfectly - I can heart breakingly feel the loneliness and despair. I never knew that a recorder had to be gently "broken" in before. I'm learning a lot :) Enjoy taking it out for a full blast at your group this weekend!!! P xx
Great pictures, especially the last two, brilliant! Is the short time of playing something to do with moisture? Happy WOYWW. Angela #10
I love your paintings. For faces have you tried drawing a grid on a photo and the same grid on some drawing paper? Squaring up like that can make faces easier as you’re just focusing on one square at a time. I’d not recommend trying with someone you know personally, though. It seems to be harder because you’re focusing on the likeness.
Enjoy your recorder music

Ooh you've gone and got political again! 😁 and art journaling, bet you enjoy getting back to that.
I laughed at "mistake" and I really felt the despair in your last one. I look forward to your art journal entries, I really love art journaling, it's about the only thing I do these days! Have fun! Lindart #15
Look forward to seeing your journalling!! Some great sketches today! Happy WOYWW! Susan #5
I had no idea recorders had to 'played in'. You learn something every day. The daily cards are great - definitely agree with 'mistake'.
Have a great week, love n hugs Cindy #11
I love how dedicated you are about creating something every single day. With my schedule, I can only create a couple of times a week, but I cherish that time in my art studio. Happy WOYWW!
