Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness. Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.
My 'desk' this week shows some of the lovely gifts I received at my retirement get together last Wednesday. In addition I received two leavers' hoodies. The first one had been sent by mistake and had all the names of the students that were leaving on the back. The second one was the correct one with all the staff names on there. My collection of cards has grown considerably too.The flowers on the left were from school and the ones on the right from Eva and her husband Nick. To be honest I won't really feel like I have retired until school goes back in September. The arm is feeling a lot better but I have not yet caught up with my #dailyart2025. I have set aside a couple of days next week to really get back on top of things again but I have been busy with samples and getting blog posts sorted.
Thanks for all the good wishes I received last week. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Happy retirement! As you say, it won't really hit you til September but how nice it must be to be able to turn off the alarm! I hope you get caught up with your daily art . Helen #1
Congratulations on becoming a stay at home teacher but i agree, you won't feel it until September when they all go back. I can still recall that day in my life.
There was nothing like retirement gifts as I remember, it is lovely that people mark the occasion nowadays. and I love the sound of those hoodies. Would love you to show us a picture.
Well, just enjoy the opportunity to lie in bed a bit longer.
Happy retirement!
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Good news on the arm. Loving the Friend card below! Congrats on the retirement but I get it. Until you pass the first day and realize you don't have to get up and go in, it won't really feel like it's over. Lovely gifts too, and the sketches are great. You'll catch up. son I'm sure.

You need to just relax and get used to being at home, it will feel strange for a while but you'll soon get used to it. I like the sound of the hoodies too. Happy woyww, Angela x10x

Congratulations! Happy Retirement! It felt very weird in September when I retired, it felt so good not to have to go to school, but then I started to miss it. It took a few years before I was OK! I still dream about it once in awhile! Lovely flowers and cards and gifts! So blessed! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #16
