Once again, I used Barbara Gray's project which came with the September Clarity New Design Club stencil as a starting point, but then went off in my own direction.
Attach NDCS #136 to a postcard from the Celebrations 2 collection with low tack tape.
I decided to substitute one of the colours that Barbara used and went with Uncharted Mariner, Seedless Preserves and Bundled Sage Distress Oxides. I brushed these over the card, building colour on the left and getting lighter towards the right. The stencil and masking were then removed.
Next, I trimmed the postcard to 6" x 5".
I then added one of the Mr Painter stamps in Jet Black Archival ink.
I restamped the same image onto a piece of scrap copy paper that I had used to clean off my brushes, and fussy cut the overalls and hat.
These were then added to the postcard with Pritt stick.
I finished the image by colouring with Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils, blended with a watercolour brush pen (#135, #132, #102, #189, #231, #178).
I then edged the topper with a black Sharpie pen and added it to the front of a 7" x 7" white card blank.
To finish, I added one of the I am Essential Birthday sentiment stamps in Jet Black Archival ink.
