Inky January Calendar Page

I have two calendar blanks for 2026 - an inky one and a parchment one, as well as a journal - all from Clarity Crafts.  For my first January page, I worked in the inky journal.

I started with an alcohol ink / gel press scene made in a workshop with Barbara Gray.

This was trimmed to 6" x 6" and the corners rounded with a punch.

I laid tracing paper over the top to see how the stamped images would work.

I started with a hedgerow using stamps from the Trees and People Mega Build a Landscape set in Olive Archival ink.  I didn't like where I placed them at first, so erased them with 70% IPA on a paper towel, but was happier with my second attempt.

This was followed by one of the trees from the Woodland Treescape stamp set in Jet Black Archival ink.

A further tree from the original set was added into the background in the same ink, then I finished with a flock of birds and the fox from the second stamp set.

Once I was happy with the composition, I copied it across to the topper.

Next I toned down the colour at the bottom and around the fox with a white B1 Perga Liner.

The topper was then added to the January calendar page.

I finished with a couple of Barbara's Words stickers.
