Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness. Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.
I am really sorry, but I have had to cancel the crop. We are all getting older and the numbers able to make it just did not make it financially viable. I am not out of pocket however, as I cancelled the hall in sufficient time to get my full deposit returned.
I can't show much of what I am working on at the moment. Lots of secret stuff for Clarity - but if you watch Clarity Social TV on Sunday 6th April you may see some of my work.I hope perhaps we can organise a virtual crop near to the 16th Anniversary - perhaps the 17th May. If there is anyone who has the professional version of zoom which is not limited to 45 minutes who could host things I would be grateful if you let me know. We will of course do the usual ATC swap. With postage being what it is these days I would say perhaps we should limit it to the PIF person on the list, but I am open to discussion.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Oh that's a shame about the crop, maybe another time. However a virtual crop sounds cool, think I joined in one of those before and that would certainly be inclusive for me. Sorry don't have the professional zoom version (but you can always restart a session I think so I am sure we could get around it somehow). Know what you mean about postage too, it gets a bit pricey especially if you have overseas involved too. Actually feeling a tad better this morning but until I have a whole "good" day I tend not to go anywhere, the last couple of days I've been right dizzy! Super drawings, amazed at your creativity, love "cuddle" and your controversial thoughts for the heart LOL. Hugs bj#1
Sarah, that's a shame about the crop, but I am glad you got your deposit refunded. Hopefully a virtual version will be possible . Good to see you still doing the daily art and have remained in the group! Happy WOYWW , Helen #2
Sad the crop can’t happen. I know I was struggling with the distance and cat cover, as the whole Gillingham to Stoke to Slough on Sunday, then back to Gillingham made it a looooong weekend! Chris has pro Zoom but not sure what is happening that weekend . I’ll ask and let you know, if no one else has it. Great sketches this week. I expected something…else for Colder than a… lol!

Happy WOYWW, Sarah. Excellent your had all £refunded but shame about crop... but we are all getting older there's certainly no escaping it. Love your cards each day, very imaginative, with your days so busy investigating don't know how you do it.
Although smiled at Mary Anne's comment on the "colder than a... ."
I'm the wrong time zone for virtual crop as our day is your night etc. (Eg now after 6pm here) and not very good on zoom. Certainly no pro-zoom here. 😂
Happy WOYWW 😃 Shaz in Oz.x
Great set of sketches this week - I was amused that you thought to colour the heart as the US flag! I think my favourite is daydreaming!
I wonder if I should even put myself down as a PIF - I don't want to put anybody to huge expense...
Happy WOYWW! Susan #8
Thanks for trying hard with the crop. It is difficult to organize for us oldies so maybe a virtual crop is the answer. Your work for Clarity sounds exciting. I love that little penguin.x x Jo 🌈
Pleased you got the deposit back, sadly a bit too far for me at the moment. Not got prof zoom so fingers crossed someone else can help. Love your cuddle sketch and super impressed all the ones you do, fair play I struggle with 1 month dailies for inktober!

It's such a shame you had to cancel but pleased you got your money back. I remember we had a zoom thingy before it must have been around covid time but don't know who organised it isn't there something called teams too, will look into it but maybe there's someone who knows about these things. Loving the new daily art pages too. Happy woyww, Angela x11x
I am so glad you had your deposit refunded. I did have a chuckle over the heart idea, but we wouldn't want you to get thrown out! Love the penguin and the cuddle, all great drawings. I don't know a lot about Zoom. I think I have used it twice! Happy WOYWW Angela # 12
That is a shame about the crop, don't even know if I still have zoom but will try to be there for sure. Great dailies as ever - you should have done the stars n stripes lol!!
Haha Glad your creativity hasn't been muted by last week's controversy and that you were tempted to do it again lol. Love the No hair needed picture. Sorry to hear your crop is not going ahead but hope that you have more success with a virtual one.
I am very relieved that you got your deposit refunded, thank you for making the decision in plenty of time so we could cancel accommodation ok. Your sketches are always interesting and it makes me think how I’d interpret the prompts too.

Maybe as well you kept the heart red and just mentioned it on here what your intentions were. Great drawings as usual. How long do you have to think before you begin?
Shame about the crop but virtual seems fine as a substitute. Also I think your idea re postage is a good one.

Hello Sarah, it's sad that the crop isn't happening this year. Like you say many of us are getting older. So sad. For me it isn't just my age, 77 now, but there's Silver to think about. I'd find it very hard to leave her with a cat sitter for too long. A virtual crop may well be the answer. I really enjoy seeing your daily art. My favourites this week is Daydreaming and Cuddle. Hugs, Elizabeth #6 xx
Sorry about the crop Sarah-unfortunately we were already booked to go away. Thanks for volunteering to organise it and I am glad you had your booking cancelled in time. A virtual crop would be good but I don’t have a Zoom account and just use the free version when needed.
A zoom crop sounds great! Something I could possibly join in on! I know the in person ones are more fun, but I never get to go to those! Great drawings, my favourite this week is the double decker bus - we have one in our city here as a Tourist Bus! It's always fun to see it driving around. Have a wonderful week, Lindart #15
I’m sorry we couldn’t manage the crop but a virtual one might be a solution. Your watercolours are lovely this week.
Happy WOYWW

I'm sorry I was unable to commit in the end, the costs involved in travelling and staying were just to great to commit to this far in advance if there was a chance that we wouldn't have viable numbers closer to the date. Can't say my age was a consideration though! Loving your interpretation of some tricky prompts, the finger things is very clever, I wonder what on earth others would have come up with!
Loving all your drawings....of course the first thing I thought of for the Double Decker was a bar of chocolate! Sorry so late, but sometimes I just transmute back into my cave!((Lyn))#18
