WOYWW 623: One Week to the Anniversary

Another week, another Wednesday and another WOYWW contribution (please visit Stamping Ground where Julia will enlighten you about it).  Only one week until the 12th anniversary.

My desk looks as it does every morning.  Ready for the #drawingaday in my sketchbook.  I do sometimes do a pencil sketch the day before if I am going to be busy before work, but the inking is always done on the day itself.

Here is the latest week's worth.
As you can see, Eva was on the other side of the desk yesterday morning.  Still wearing a mask with door and window open.  By next week we will both be post second vaccination and masks will no longer be required in schools.  I did pass on everyone's best wishes after her last visit.  I'll be round to visit as always later today or tomorrow morning.  Can't wait to find out who my PIF will be next week.  I just need to get a postcard now.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

  1. Great to see Eva again for your get togethers - quite like old times indeed!! I can't find a postcard of Sutton. My second jab isn't until the beginning of June but it's not long now! Helen#'5

  3. Wonderful to see a little bit of normality returning. Postcards seem hard to find in this area. I would print one if I had a printer with me. Have a great week Angela #10

  4. It feels great just to get back to a bit of normal doesn’t it? Hopefully by June, we’ll be free to do what we want with some of the restrictions still there. Eva looks great, I’m so glad you met up again!

  6. I've only just had my first jab but I'm not worried so much about me, I'm totally paranoid about passing it on without knowing! Goodness I can't wait to craft with people again, especially inside where things won't blow away! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #4

  10. I love how you have big photos on your blog - much better than trying to decipher what is in so many of them - mine included. Good to see you keeping up with the drawings.

  11. Hi Sarah,
Great to see you and Eva back crafting together! I love the daily drawings, my favourite this week was mum - it's beautiful. I'm still working from home, but there are whispers that we will start migrating back to the office in June - but only part of the week. Hope your second vaccination goes OK. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #23

  12. Super drawings - lovely to catch sight of Eva again. You're certainly playing by the rules. I feel sorry for the kids having to sit in class all day in their masks. I can just about bear it while I pop into a shop. Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #22

  16. It’s lovely looking through your drawings and isn’t it good to know that this time next week we will all be more free to be with other folk.
My sister is coming home from Oxford for a few days. We haven’t seen her since last October. She’s on my hug list.
    Have a good week

  19. Sarah, as usual your drawings for the week are great!! I always have a fave and the "mum" drawing fits the bill this week! How precious is that? Great to see Eva across the way and presumably better!! I know you BOTH will be happy to be rid of the masks and back to proper visitation!! Have a great rest of your week! Felicia #25

  21. I think seeing Eva on the other side of your desk is one of the best signs that things are coming back round to some sort of normal! Must be great to have occasional company again.!

  22. Thanks for your return visit, Sarah - two years running now, that the pants have been OK first time, so perhaps they've sorted the problem at their end. I still suffer trepidation until I've had the chance to try them on, though! I had a phone call from the breast unit today, postponing my appointment to the 24th (only a few days later) because they've had a flood and have had to reschedule a lot of appointments in order to clear up the mess, the poor things! Always something, isn't there! Still, I don't suppose a few days will make much difference for me.

Lol at your comments re the kitties! Maybe Ruby was expressing her jealousy by attacking one of the new kitties on the blanket! Lily may want to ski down the stairs on my trolley. Ruby has ridden the stairlift up the stairs in my bag a couple of times - just like a ski lift haha!

  23. How fun seeing and crafting with Eva again! Almost back to "normal" as you remember it.

Your desk is always so tidy! Mine is under there somewhere.

Will your school be ending for summer soon? Or do the kids have to make up time due to the pandemic and lockdowns?

Happy Thursday! Stay safe and well!
