It's my rota week for delivering distance learning from home so Tom and Peter are back keeping me company as you can see. I am still doing the daily drawings but actually plan to find time to make a tag for the Tag Tuesday challenge - use a photo or part of one. I have moved on to the inktober2017 prompts for the end of January and February and have found daily drawing prompts for the rest of the year by doing a google search.
I haven't had any problems with computer freeze so far this week so I hope that that continues. I must admit that I am looking forward to the half term break already. We have an INSET day immediately afterwards which has been given to us as a wellbeing day so that will extend the break too. Stay safe everyone and happy WOYWW.

Thanks for stopping by Sarah. It's the middle of the night here and I could not sleep. Enjoy your drawings. I too started doing a few challenges. Schools seem to have started going back in person in Feb. Online if snow days. Hope is works out. Our hospitals are full, medics are overwhelmed. We've been in good health, but don't do much away. I've lost 3 close friends and my sister is now home but some bad days All Covid but had underlying conditions. Not much snow in our area but surrounded by ice and snow in Iowa. When no winds I enjoy a good walk for the fresh air and to exercise. Stay safe and Enjoy each day.

I love the variety in your drawing challenge both in the prompts and the way you've interpreted them. Do you go in to the classroom the rest of the time or does someone else take over the distance learning? I've been blown away by what the schools are doing to keep the kids on track. Are you finding the distance teaching is getting easier now everyone must be in the swing of it? I know it’s not the same as the classroom but it must be helping the students so much. I enjoy seeing how you interpret the prompts, it’s made me think what I would have chosen!m And how amazing that your BiL used to be a vision mixer too, small world!

ReplyDeleteI had to smile when you said it was your week to teach from home. We were listening to the radio yesterday and I think some parents are starting to realise that teaching is not as easy as they thought and those poor teachers who are also parents are really having an interesting time! They were interviewing one lady and it sounded like murder was being committed in the background, she had three children all different ages. Take care and have a lovely woyww, Angela x16x

Back again because I saw a comment you made about Amsterdam clear gesso. I only tried clear gesso once and it was really gritty. I didn’t like it and I wondered if Amsterdam gesso was gritty?

Tom & Peter were my generation of Dr Who's as well - after Sylvester McCoy I didn't watch it so much and haven't seen any of the last three doctors at all. Maybe I should start watching them!
ReplyDeleteI've found an old notebook and am going to start doing some doodles. Ten mins a day isn't hard, eh? I do need to pick up on my drawing skills a bit! Yours are really good, and inspiring. The sword is well done ( I should know, with my nutty hobbies). They're all well done, but the sword speaks to my soul... heheheh

ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit. I am quite sure the blanket will be commandeered by the kitties at the earliest opportunity, and I can see my hubby taking up his station on the floor again lol! I shall lock myself away in Mum's bedroom in the flat and get on with the assembly when the time comes.
Well done you, leaving delivery slots for those who need them. I have had a real struggle to get slots and I do really need them - most people are not nearly as considerate as you are. At least those customers who have signed up for delivery saver (paying for delivery up front) are allowed an extra week ahead to book a slot, but it means I am having to book slots a whole month ahead, and if I don't get on with it I can easily miss a week. The substitutions really make me laugh!
Lily and Ruby are both asleep on our respective legs at the moment but if they were awake they'd say "meow" back!
