Bringing a Stamped Image to the Foreground

The large Mixed Impressions texture stamp which goes with this character stamp set, designed by Dee Fitzsimmons, makes the perfect background for an A5 card.

Trim a piece of large Clarity stencil card to 20cm x 13.8cm. Stamp the A6 Innocence character in Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Mask her off and add the toy box below and behind her in the same ink.
Mask off the toy box as well.
Ink up the A5 Mixed Impressions texture plate with Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides. Stamp over the masked images then remove the masks.
Blend out some of the colour with a watercolour brush pen.
Colour the girl and toy box using water colour pencils, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.
To bring the character and toy box further forward, add shading around the stamped images using a dark brown Inktense pencil blended out in the same way as before.
Mat the piece onto black card (20.5cm x 14.3cm) and add to the front of an A5 card blank.
Stamp some of the words from the stamp set in Onyx Black Versafine ink to create a border.
To finish, add some of the sentiments which come with the stamp set.
