Having spent a couple of days art journaling, card making and creating my first ever ATCs, I decided to go back to a favourite of mine; tags. I went for a more grungy version of my favourite colour combination for Tag Tuesday: pink, yellow and orange.

I started with a mop up sheets from a previous project using Distress Collage medium to add it to the tag, trimming round and sealing the surface afterwards (a mistake which I later discovered).
The next step was to add Cosmic Shimmer Clear Texture paste through the Claritystamp Sweets stencil to cover the whole tag.
Once dry, I added distress inks in the same colours as the mop up sheet; Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry. Unfortunately they didn't make much difference as the surface was now non porous.
Instead I tried Archival inks in Monarch Orange, Saffron and Vibrant Fuchsia although I had to remove a little using blending solution as they were a little too bright to start with. To grunge things up a little, I sprayed Walnut Stain distress spray over the tag (once again, not great due to non porous surface) and dabbed it off. Instead I took the Sepia mini archival ink pad and lightly went over the texture paste to bring out the embossing (much better). A couple of phrases from the Small Talk sticker book by Tim Holtz were added. They looked a little stark against the background, so Distress ink in the three original colours helped blend them into the background (a porous surface, so worked perfectly).
