WOYWW 835/55: Back Home

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk shows some of the things I was getting up to while away over the weekend. The pack contains all my makes from the fabulous workshop with Barbara Gray on Sunday - I learn such a lot. The flier is the one for the make and takes that I led at the Open Days on the Friday and Saturday (more on my blog from Monday and yesterday). The postcard shows some of the gorgeous pottery made by Barbara which should be appearing on her Pinky Gray web page soon.
I have a growing art gallery in my living room which sits along side Tilly's needle felting.
When I move my craft room inside, I may keep the tall pencil pot on my desk.  I have another owl on order too.

As you can see, I managed to keep up with my #dailyart2025 while I was away.
Since I got back on Monday I have done two large loads of washing and the technical survey has been done for the impending solar panel fitment.  They are coming back today to fit an isolation switch to the meter in advance.
I am still catching up on my sleep as it was hard work - although my lunatic of a twin sister ran a 50k on Saturday, and the route went past the hotel where I was staying, so I think she wins!
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

A Stamping Make and Take

I recently had the pleasure of leading the stamping make and take at the Clarity Open Days.  This is the project everyone completed then had fun playing with their own design using the same stamps on a second card blank.

Clarity Open Days: A Round Up

On Friday and Saturday the latest Clarity Open Days took place in Ditton, Kent.  Months of planning go into these days, culminating in a full day setting up in the community centre, two days seeing old faces and meeting new and a generally good time all round.  I was honoured to be asked to run one of the make and takes for the first time.  My project seems to have gone down well and I will be sharing it on my blog tomorrow for anyone who was unable to be there or didn't manage to sign up before the spaces filled.

Front - Lisa, Barbara, Hilma, Sue, Jazz.
Back - Grace, Louise, Janice, Myself, Paul, Sam, Deborah, Jane, Hazel, Linda, Jilly, Sheila.
The whole team ready for action on the first morning (Thanks for sending me the photo Deb).

#dailyart2025: May Part II

Here are my drawings for the second half of May following the prompts over on 365 days of drawing prompts and other art.  I have just started my fourth Petite watercolour journal from Clarity Crafts.

A nice straight forward prompt.
The first instrument I thought of connected with the genre.
A bit late for Star Wars Day!
An iconic setting.
I kept things simple!
And again!
I thought this was an easy one too.
I just had a play with different shapes and types.
My immediate thought was sleeping beauty's castle.

I was thinking of Canada.
Keeping the countryside theme.
I wish!!
More of a cartoon look.
Definitely not anatomically correct!
