A Row of Rainbow Hearts

For my second sample using one of the Clarity Products of the Month for March, I used the heart frame infill stamps in my favourite rainbow colours.

Barb's Floral Hearts Tag

This beautiful stamp set which comes with masks is one of the Clarity Products of the Month for March.  If you put it in your basket, the whole sale gets you double points until the end of the month.  I played with them on a tag.

March Groovi Calendar Page

Even though the Clarity 2026 parchment calendar blank comes with sheets of parchment, I am still working on a piece of Rainbow River designer parchment.

WOYWW 873/93: Watch This Space

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

Wishing Neet a continuing and steady recovery!

My desk is rather boring as I posted two lots of samples off on Friday and have been making cards that can't be shared here yet.  I did however get round to prepping my #dailyatc2026 backgrounds ready for March.

I have also been keeping up with my knitting and hope to have made a start on the front by next week - March already!
Life has been a bit of a blur over the last week.  I have some exciting news to share but cannot do so for a few weeks as there are things still to be finalised.  The music is continuing to go well - yesterday's rehearsal with the u3a recorder group was great fun.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

March Inky Calendar Page

I always keep my inky and painty copy paper mop up sheets as they make excellent backgrounds.  I found one that reminded me of water to get started on my March inky calendar page in my Clarity calendar blank.

Tulip Mini Make

I thought that I would combine the February Clarity New Design Club stencil with one of the Tulip Floral Panels stamps as it has a tulip pattern.

Take a Perch

As well as collecting stamps by Clarity Crafts, I also love the designs from Timestamp Creations.  As they are also manufactured by Clarity, the quality is second to none.  I had a quick play with one of the newer stamp sets 'Take a Perch' and combined them with a background made at last summer's Clarity retreats.

Get Well Card

It is always useful to have a get well card ready to go.  Here I used the February stamps from the Clarity New Design Club with one of the products of the month.

Florals and Birds: Ideas and Inspiration

There are some fabulous bird and floral stamps from Clarity Crafts.  I thought I would share some ideas and inspiration using various sets.  As usual links to the original projects are below each image.  Starting with the Garden Birds.

Building a scene (see HERE).

Three Layers, Two Magpies and One Telephone Pole

The current prompt over on Try it On Tuesday is Countdown 3-2-1 so here is a card with 3 layers, two magpies and one telephone pole using the magpie stamps from Timestamp Creations!

Add Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Oxides to the Bijou Backdrop stamp with foam tools and add to a small piece of Clarity stencil card. Add the small Magpie stamp from Timestamp Creations onto the background in Jet Black archival ink. Add the second Magpie likewise. Extend the wires to the edge of the background using a ruler and black micron pens.

I didn't realise until this stage that there was no memory card in my camera!

Die cut a mat from black card using the 3.75" nested square picot die and mat up the topper.

Add a strip of BOW-WOB paper coloured with Distress Oxides across the front of a 5" x 5" white card blank.

Add the topper.

To finish, mask off sections of the Magpie verse, ink up, remove the masking and add 'Two for joy' below the image in the same black ink as before.

WOYWW 872/92: On the Mend

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.
I always seem to be behind on news about Neet, but my understanding is that she is back home.  Here's to a steady recovery!

I used my glass mat on the desk to measure my knitting and I am ready to start decreasing for the armholes.  I am also nearly ready for my second ball of wool.

I thought this would give everyone a laugh.  It was recently on my old school's FB page and brought back plenty of memories.  I still have the shield that I won (I am in the backrow on the end next to the student in a top hat).  Somewhere I have a signed photo of Jack Woolgar too.

Year of the horse
I didn't end up going over to Mum's last Friday as I was full of cold and didn't want to pass it on.  I did make it to SRP on Saturday  - I had to take minutes as there was a committee meeting before the playing session - and made it through the afternoon.
I will be heading over this week though as it is my turn to pay for breakfast at Spoons.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Mid Month Mini Make Challenge: Technique

The mid month challenge over on Clarity Crafts Mini Makes and ATCs is Technique - either an old one or a new one.  I was reminded of the salt on watercolour technique by a background that my sister-in law had created and that I used for my February journal page (see HERE) and decided to have a play for myself.

Red Riding Hood Folk Art Birthday

I had to have a quick play with the rest of the Folk Art goodies that I ordered from Clarity. Here I worked on one of the small square Dawn and Dusk Landscape toppers.

February PTC: (Fur) Baby

The prompt for the February PTC swap over on Clarity Mini Makes and ATCs is Baby. I have very few Groovi plates with a baby theme so decided to base my PTC around the word baby but use animal images instead.

Floral Swirls and Rosie Doodles on Kraft

For my final sample using the Floral Swirls and Rosie Doodles Sampler stamps I went with a simple colour palette on kraft card and created a set of notelets.
