Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness. Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.
Continuing to send Neet well wishes and healing hugs as she is still in hospital for a bit longer. Hope she improving.
My desk shows the results of the afternoon workshop that Eva and I attended on Saturday. Porcelain Christmas decorations ready for firing. We are intending to organise at least two more workshops after Christmas and I will be taking Clarity stamps with me to decorate now I know this is possible.Had a rehearsal for the Christmas busking / concert yesterday with the u3a group in Lichfield. I took my fingerless gloves so I could get used to playing in them. I seem to be busier than ever - meeting up with family, crafting and additional workshops. Looking forward to one with Tilly Tea Dance on 6th December. People say that they don't know how they fitted in work after they retire and I never thought it would be true, but I now see what they mean.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

It’s so true, the weeks fill up and whizz by after retirement! I’m glad you’re having a good time with your music and crafting, the porcelain pieces are lovely.

ReplyDeleteYour Porcelain workshop looks like gun and I bet you will find lots of things in your stash that can be used for surface decoration next time. What a great day out. Looking forward to seeing you at Tilly's workshop. Love the little parrots! x x Jo 🌈

ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I am due to hand over two or three alphabet stamp sets to my friend the potter, and I used stamps to inform a design on a plate not long ago! Hope you have fun with yours, the decorations you've made are so nice. It makes me smile that you're so busy...you get it now, huh!
ReplyDeleteThe pottery class looks fun, wonderful designs for xmas and who doesn't love the elegance of blue on white with porcelain. Brilliant bumper crop of daily drawings, so many favourites :D the parrots, sadness and person in the mirror. Love that you're as busy as ever now you're retired. Have a fabulous week! xx
ReplyDeleteClay ornaments - what a fun project. Hope they do well in the kiln and come out December glistening! :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteYes, Retirement means you're finally busy doing the things YOU want to do. It's a good kind of busy most of the time.
Love your drawings, especially the 'sounds like heaven'. I do love listening to water run from a fall or over rocks in a creek.
Hugs & Creative Blessings!

I feel the same way sometimes, especially as I feel I used to do a lot more art when I was working! How did I do that? Your ornaments look great, even better once they've been fired. Lots of drawings to choose from today, but my favourite is the parrots! So colourful! Have a lovely week, ❤️🍂Lindart #14
ReplyDeleteI love your ceramic decorations, and hope they come out well after firing. Fingerless gloves sound excellent for your recorder busking. Your daily paintings are lovely.

Yikes. Yesterday was GO GO GO from 8AM till gone 5 but I'm here now! How pretty the decorations are. Must have been a fun workshop indeed. And that snow globe is just stunning. I think if it were bigger I'd be tempted to make it a shaped card! Beautiful - and the sketches, as always, are a joy and so fun to see. Happy day late WOYWW!
