WOYWW 793/13: A Retreat

Welcome to WOYWW, the weekly blog hop/sharing of desks that's been going for over 15 years thanks to Julia and now entrusted to me.

Not my usual desk as you can see as I am spending today (and yesterday) down in Kent for the annual Clarity retreats.  A packed two days spent learning lots of crafty tips and tricks, new techniques and meeting up with friends old and new.  I won't be sharing any of the projects until next week as there is an embargo on that until Saturday.  The new car was a dream to drive down here even with the usual traffic jams on the M6 around Birmingham and the M25.
Me, Deborah, Jane, Deb and Sonia
I had a group photo with other Clarity DT members who were there.
Linda, Lisa, Sue and Jazz
Linda (picker and packer extraordinaire), Sue (in charge of all things Clarity Clubs) and Jazz (designer) were taking part in the workshops but Lisa (designer) was beavering away behind the scenes in charge of refreshments and lunches.

I will miss out the latest #dailycollage2024 pages today as they will be on my blog tomorrow anyway.

Before heading back on Thursday I will be collecting an old friend of Mums from Gillingham and bringing her back for a visit.  Hopefully I will be able to visit everyone by the weekend.

Thanks for joining in with WOYWW Stay safe everyone.

  2. Glad the new car is proving a huge success. Even promoted to giving a lift to mum's friend - that will be lovely for your mum having someone stay.
Keep enjoying yourself, you certainly have a lovely smile on the photo, surrounded by friends. Look forward to seeing what you did.

  7. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I do love a retreat and a good crafty catch up. Great news on the car too - amazing how it can make such a difference. I got an automatic electric whizz bang car through Motability and it has been a total game changer. Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #9 www.prettymypage.co.uk

  14. Enjoy your crafty retreat in Ditton, Sarah, and I’m glad your new car is up to it. To avoid the jams round Brum I go up the M11/A14 then up the M1, and along the A50. Hope that helps!
    Take care and happy WOYWW
