WOYWW 858/78: The Calm Before the Storm

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

Sending Neet well wishes and continued healing hugs. Hope she is feeling better.

My desk shows some goodies that my Mum gave me when she was tidying - I thought they would be useful for those of you who make for charity so if you want to let me know I can get them popped in the post next week.
I have been busy filling and labelling the storage boxes that I bought in the Clarity half price sale.
I have completed the outside of my autumn jigsaw but won't get much further now until after the Open Days.

I don't know where last week went, considering that it was supposed to be a relaxing one.  I had recorders on Saturday and yesterday afternoon and made sure I filled up the car ready for my very early start tomorrow as I head down to Ditton in Kent for the Open Days and Barb's workshop.  I won't be back until Monday evening as I shall not rush the journey back and will probably call over at Mum's on the way through.  Sorry I was so late visiting last week.  I shall endeavour to do my visits before I leave, otherwise it will probably be next Tuesday before I manage.

Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

  2. Eek. Your first sketch chills me to the bone! But otherwise fun to see them week on week. What is that old saying? I’ll rest when I’m dead? Feels like that some weeks, like life will never slow down. Ah well, I suppose it is better than being bored! Enjoy your busy week, and Happy WOYWW!

  4. My favourite sketch is the pinata!
I have a jigsaw at 'the edge pieces done' stage but it has been like that for a week!
I try and comment as soon as I can but it gets difficult as I only link up early evening and then I get sidetracked... have a good trip!

  8. I don't think you have to visit, especially if you can't get to it till Tuesday, then you'll be back at it on Wednesday and it'll be a right old chore! The fallout from your lovely Mum's tidy up made me smile, I'd need a skip to show you what I currently have no use for...and it doesn't include gobbly eyes, I do occasionally still use them! Have a brill time at the Open Days, drive carefully...there's always a stopover bed here if you need one, even if it's a zig zag in your journey!

  10. Well retirement is certainty not for putting your feet up and watching TV 🤣 although a Harry Potter film once or twice a week is good.🤣. Safe journey toKent, drive safely and enjoy your time away. Hugs Angela #10

  11. Morning! Drive carefully, I've stopped driving to anywhere I've never been, I hate getting lost! Love the drawings, all very clever, and, looking above at Angel's comment, I binge-watched Harry Potter last week! (Well, it was raining!) Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #13
