WOYWW 829/49: Still Chilled

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the brainchild of Julia, who has kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk shows the booklet and bits and pieces that arrived ready for my participation with the online 1-2-3 Landscapes & Stamping course with Barbara Gray.  I will not be able to participate live as I will be at work for the three Wednesday afternoons that it takes place but will watch the prerecorded workshops.  I need to do something about internet access to the shed or bring everything inside and watch where I can get a signal.  More reason to move inside over the summer.  In the background you can see my new stamp pen storage which is far better than the make up brush holder I was using before.

Channeling one of Mum's cats lol.
Still managing to avoid drawing faces.

A few simple ones in a row.
Still being creative to avoid drawing proper people.
I had a lovely time at my recorder group yesterday afternoon and also on Sunday over at Mum's where we had lunch together.  I am really enjoying this break and it will be hard to get back into the swing of working again.  Still only 31 more working days until retirement.
Sad news about Pope Francis on Monday morning.
I think that the consensus appears to be that virtual ATCs will be OK for the anniversary so PIFs can be sent a photo of their ATC and we can all share one on our desks - only three more weeks until the 16th anniversary!!!
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

  1. The online course sounds interesting, I might have to have a look at the blurb about that. Landscapes are something I would like to learn about.
Love your 'eyes' drawing - that made me smile this morning.
Right must get on with thinking about that ATC - thanks for the initial thinking behind it.

  4. Ah yes Barbara Gray that was the reason for my Speedball purchase. I did have one of those big multi coloured ink pads but gave it away. As much as I loved watching her and her end results I just didn't have it in me to do it. Hope you have a good time the workshops and can't wait to see what you produce. Just a shame it will be in school time but not for long eh! If you mean coming inside so you'll be cooler in the Summer, I'd defo go for it. My room gets so hot (in the house) that I've just bought an air-con unit for my room. Anyway loving your pictures that week, super ladybird, thought the "fur" was was a girl and a pony tail sitting behind the wall at first - LOL. Love the "pod" too and the elderly figures was a great move. Yes I was shocked to hear the Pope had died only hours after his last appearance on Easter Sunday, I wonder who will be elected next? Gosh virtual ATCs, I hadn't really responded. I've only ever posted them before. Certainly gives me more time, 3 weeks you say, oh my! Hugs BJ#6

  5. Hi Sarah, I'm sure you will enjoy the landscape classes and you must let us see how you get on. The school holidays have been all over the place and you must be one of the few areas that haven't gone back yet. Enjoy what's left of your week. Hugs Angela x8x

  6. That’s a good idea re the ATCs, as much as I love receiving them from all over, the costs of postage are nuts. 31 days left eh? Bet you can’t wait, do you have a long list of things to do after retirement or will you wing it?
    Hugs LLJ 3 xx

  7. Tickled by how you're still thinking around drawing people lol though it was your "fur" drawing which caught my eye today - love the composition of a cat sat on a wall. Enjoy fully the rest of your break and let's hope the final push of 31 days zips by!!! xx

  8. I cannot draw faces. No amount of practice helps. Oh well. Good save with the eyes in the dark LOL! I had to laugh - before we moved over I recall taking a photo of the Elderly People sign and thinking it was hysterical. I am disappointed there won't be a massive ATC swap but as I made a few I will probably send them out anyway. Not sure how many addresses I have but if I have one I'll send one :)
Problems commenting this week but Happy WOYWW if you see this!

  9. Your course sounds interesting and I hope you enjoy it. Love your watercolours. Have you tried a powerline adapter to extend your WiFi to your shed? It plugs into your router and extends WiFi to where the 2nd plug is.

  10. Hello Sarah, Like you, I can't draw people and I am very impressed at how you got round the 'eyes' challenge. Like your new storage though I have no idea what exactly is a stamp pen. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Have fun with the new course. I'm sure it will be fun wherever and whenever you can follow it. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #11

  11. Your pen storage looks perfect! Great drawings today, the Ladybug reminds me that the ladybugs that have overwintered in my house are coming alive! The cats like to chase them around, but as there isn't anything for them to eat, they die😢I have managed to scoot a few outside🐞🐞🐞! Have lovely week, Lindart #13☺️
