I had a lovely crafty afternoon yesterday with some of the JJAMMMA (Junk Journals and Mindful Mixed Media Art) group up in Stockport.
As you see, I have learnt from prior experience (and WOYWW crops) to travel light. I took my trusty colouring book and pencils. The Derwent Inktense box were a purchase at Hobbycraft, as they are half price at the moment and I thought I would try them. It was so good to catch up with friends old and new, as it was last September when I made it to the previous meet up.
On the other side of the desk, Jane was giving Groovi guidance but was the only one brave enough to be photographed for the blog lol. There were 12 of us altogether, including Lou, who drove straight there from Peterborough to make the meet up. Eva was working unfortunately, so couldn't join us.
If you'd like to peek at even more desks, then please join the WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday) crowd over at The Stamping Ground, where Julia is in charge! I'll be round to visit either this evening or tomorrow morning, depending on how tired I feel when I get in from work. Happy WOYWW everyone.

ReplyDeleteGood to see you made the meet up Sarah, it's unbelievable where time goes we need to make every minute count. I like the sound of travelling light, I always take more than I need when crafting away from home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those inktense they're an invaluable tool in my stash.
Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey xx
Oh we’re both about travelling light this week! Is it really September since you last went to JJAMMA, blimey. Glad to hear you’re being mindful of your continuing recovery missus, if you’re tired, do nowt.
ReplyDeleteI must learn from you as I always take too much stuff to the craft club and then only use about a quarter of it. That's a gorgeous photograph of Jane, what a lovely lady. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, heard lots of good things about Inktense pencils, I know Maggie loves them. Great find at half price too. Jane looks great, always stands out in a crowd, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X
ReplyDeleteI tend to take images I have stamped ready and some colouring medium when I go away, that way I am enjoying the chat but still being productive.
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, you are being such a good enabler with those pencils but I am holding fast as I have so many and I think I have some Inktense ones already. But what a good bargain to find at Hobbycraft. Thanks!
Have a good week

I'm so glad you enjoyed the day out and I laughed at your light packing, I dont' think I've taken anything to the past few crops!!

I think it's wise to travel light to these crops. Brave lady to agree to be featured on your blog. No such concerns at the WOYWW meet-ups LOL! Hope you had a good day at work and the kids didn't give you a hard time. Enjoy your week xx zsuzsa #18
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea - colouring book and pencils is all you need when you are going to have a good chat with friends at a crop. How are you getting on with the inktense ones. My Gran had some that Alex has claimed and they seem to be really good. Happy WOYWW. With love and God Bless, Caro xxx (#9)
