Our eldest son and his girlfriend recently moved into their own home and have been working very hard doing it up, with the help of both families and friends. I made this card to celebrate them being straight for the first time.
I started by finding a piece of copy paper from my stash, which had been used to mop up ink from a blending mat. It was trimmed to 15cm x 15cm.
Having trimmed a piece of black card to 12cm x 12cm, I laid the Town Aperture die from Claritystamp in the centre and ran it through my die cutting machine. I added the die cut to the inky background, together with a Congratulations die cut (Die'Sire). The stamps at the top come from two different Mini Word Chains sets from Claritystamp. For 'New' I masked off the -s from News (set 9&10) before stamping in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Home comes from set 1&2. The piece was matted onto black card leaving a narrow border and added to a 7" x 7" white card blank. To finish, I picked out details on one of the houses using a white gel pen and added lights at the windows and doorway in Golden Turmeric Artistry ink using a Pergamano blending pen & nib. We hope that they will have many happy years in their new home.

I love the fresh cut dies for making a quick but pretty card. I like doing twofers with the waste as well. I am sure your son & his girlfriend loved the card.
