Gel Print Background Birthday Card

Another birthday card made with the new Be Still and Listen 3 way overlay stamps and the matching A5 stencil.  I used a gel print that I had in my stash as a backdrop to the new stamps.
I trimmed the gel print back and matted it onto black card leaving a narrow border. See HERE for the experiments that I did with the A5 Be still and Listen stencil.
As I had used Raspberry and Citrus Adirondack paints for the gel print, I decided to use the same colours of Adirondack ink for the stamping.  I stamped the #1 outline stamp onto Clarity stencil card in Memories Black ink.
I stamped the #2 line art stamp in Citrus Adirondack ink, then overlaid the stamping using some Raspberry ink in the centre of the same stamp.
When inking up the background stamp from the set (#3), I reversed the colours.
The gel print background was added to the left hand side of a 7"x 7" white card blank.
The stamped image was trimmed right back and matted onto black card to match the gel print.
This was then added to the card on the right.
To finish, I added Happy Birthday in Memories Black ink using stamps from Mini Word Chains 1&2 (Happy) and Mini Word Chains 3&4 (Birthday).
I am really glad that I finally got round to using one of my gel press experiments on an actual card.  I have a whole host of remaining experimental prints, so could easily make a similar card using the same layout again.

It's amazing how the inks look so vibrant compared to the paints! Great card Sarah! Xx
