Thistledown Fairy Birthday Card

This is the last of the cards which I made for the Clarity shows which introduced the four fairy designs.  I combined the stencil and the three way overlay stamps in the Thistledown Fairy design to create this birthday card.
I started by adding Cinnamon Tea and Moon Crater Artistry inks to the Thistledown Fairy stencil using a blending tool.  This was spritzed lightly with water, 7" x 7" stencil card laid over the top and embossed using my Grand Calibre.
Once the stencil was clean and dry, it was laid back over the embossed image and Ocean Reef, Cinnamon Tea, Fancy Fuchsia and Amazon Trail was brushed through the apertures using stencil brushes.  Further details were added in the same colours using a water brush.
The background was then trimmed back to 6.25" x 6.25" and matted onto a piece of dark brown card leaving a narrow border.  Happy Birthday from the floral frame die set of the same name was also cut from dark brown card and added to the background.
The outline stamp from the Thistledown Fairy three way overlay set was stamped onto an ATCoin blank (2.5" diameter) in Acorn Archival ink.
Using the background stamp (#3) from the same set I added Ocean Reef, Cinnamon Tea, Fancy Fuchsia and Amazon Trail inks, one colour at a time, using blending tools to add the ink to the stamp.

I coloured in the fairy using water colour pencils.
The ATCoin was then matted onto a larger circle (7cm diameter) of dark brown card.
The front of a 7" x 7" card blank was stamped with the line stamp (#2) from the same set in the same colours of Artistry inks as before (except the Cinnamon Tea ink).
The background was added to the card front.
Finally, the ATCoin topper finished off the card.
I like the mixture of stamping, stencilling and embossing, as well as the circular topper on the square background.
