A (Hopefully Funny) Birthday Card

I had a bit of fun with the Leafwing Fairy three way overlay stamps and matching stencil from Claritystamp.  I deliberately created a blurred effect to go with the idea that I had for a (hopefully) funny birthday card.
I started by lightly blending Midnight Blue artistry ink through the Leafwing Fairy stencil onto a piece of 7" x 7" stencil card.
Having replaced the stencil in a slightly off set position, I added Amazon Trail and Ocean Reef ink to create an out of focus effect.
This was trimmed and cut into three vertical strips.
Each strip was matted onto black paper leaving a narrow border.
The panels were added to the front of a 7" x 7" card blank.
The outline stamp (#1) of the matching three way overlay stamp set was stamped onto a separate piece of stencil card in black 'Memories' dye based ink.
Amazon Trail and Ocean Reef ink were added using the background stamp (#3).
The same ink colours were used on the final stamp in the set to create a deliberate 'drop shadow' effect.
This was trimmed and matted onto black card.
The topper was added to the card.
Next, I added the fairy tale snarky sticker (Tim Holtz) down the right hand panel and edged it using a fine black pen.
I then stamped 'Celebrate your birthday' using  mini word chains 3 & 4 in black Memories ink.
To inject some more humour, I printed '(but not too much!)', using my Dymo Letratag in a small font.  This was trimmed, added to the bottom of the card and outlined using a fine black pen.

That is great. I like cards where the topper is cut up. Lovely and bright. X
