Gel Plate Washi Tape on a Grungy Journal Page

This was the last of my samples for the Leonie's Frameless Shapes stencil shows last Friday (8am and 4pm) on Hochanda.  It is the result of simply playing with texture and two of the stencils.  This time I didn't use my gel plate at all.
I started by blending matte Iris decoCreme paint onto the stencil, placing it face down onto  7” x 7” stencil card and running it through the my eBosser using the embossing sandwich.

I had mixed a little matte Black Stone decoCreme paint with Relief-Paperpaste for a previous project and dragged the remains through a second stencil laid over the top.

Once dry, I rubbed Silver Inka-Gold Wax Paste over the Relief-Paperpaste with my fingers.

I had some strips of printed masking tape left over from a previous piece (see HERE).  These were added in places, matching up with the stencilled background where possible.
To tie in the pink from the 'washi tape' I replaced the first stencil (now clean) and blended matte Indian Pink decoCreme  paint over the top in places.

To finish, I added a sentiment from the Small Talk Snarky sticker set by Tim Holtz.  It seemed to fit the piece!
This is definitely not my usual style, but I love the result.

You have made some lovely samples from these stencils Sarah. Sometimes just playing produces great results. Well done, look forward to seeing your next batch of samples. xx
